This place has actually changed its name to ‘Udderly Cool’ but it’s the same business. I’ve been in a few times over the years. You can get milkshakes of many flavours, home-made cupcakes, and various other treats. It’s nice to stop by for a milkshake, hot drink and cupcake or pastry, and there is seating available to relax. You can also take away shakes and treats, and we came home tonight with a box of yummy cupcakes after passing by — I couldn’t resist them!

Right, so the first thing I need to confess is that I don’t actually like milkshakes, which makes it hard for me to review this place. However. It also sells cupcakes, and I am very well versed in the art of cupcakes! The cupcake I got the other day had ball bearings on it, which I love(I mean, it’s edible metal!) Got Milkshake is quite a cute little café, with a 1950s vibe about it. It’s really small though, so there are only a few tables in it. I couldn’t really imagine sitting there for ages, so for me, it’s more a get it and go place. The milkshakes themselves were popular with my friends though, and with so many ingredients on offer, you can have all kinds of weird and wonderful combinations(Wham bar milkshake anyone?)

This place is so cute! They do their own version of the infamous Hippy Shake from Jenz and they are really just as good! The main attraction here for me is the cupcakes! They’re super scrummy and the flavours are really cool, love the bubblegum and the smarties! Last time I was in I had ta in a huge mug and a lovely smartie cupcake, and it’s the only place I’ve been to for cupcakes where they give you a small fork to eat it with, which is great because of all the yummy icing on top! They also sell lots of little girlie cupcake themed trinkets which are really cute and would make nice gifts! Great place to chill out with a girlie mag or for a girlie chat!

Having just noticed this lovely little retro looking shop on Stranmillis Road I decided I would have to call in. I’m pleased to report that the milkshakes at Got Milkshake? are delicious. I had a some ice-cream mixed up with malteesers which made for a fab milkshake. The damage was £2.60 which wasn’t too bad at all. A large milkshake comes in around £3. The décor is really girly and all pastel shades which really impressed me. The deal is you can pretty much bring in/think of any chocolate bar and they will whizz it up into a milkshakey delight for you. I never understand how people can have a milkshake along with a meal, they’re just too sweet, so I always try to have them alone. Next time you’re down Stranmillis way, check it out. A lovely shop which has the market covered for all things milkshakey in Belfast.

I’m not a huge milk shake fan, but I love Got Milkshake. I think a place that only deals in thick dairy drinks might just go under after a few months, it get boring. Got Milkshake is anything but. They appear to be turning anything they can put their finger on into a milkshake. I had a chocolate orange milkshake and it was phenomenal. It wasn’t even on the menu(it should be), one of the staff was just playing around and put it up as a special. If you go to Queens and want a decidedly unhealthy, yet really fun lunch break, then this is the place.

Heaven, heaven, heaven on earth. For a girl who loves milkshakes that aren’t the icy variety usually dished out by McDonalds and the like, having a proper milkshake place finally open up in little old Belfast is really a dream come true. I called in on my way home from a course connected with work which was nearby, because I’d heard about this place and wanted to try it out. They have milkshakes made of literally every chocolate bar you can imagine and they also have delicious looking colourful cupcakes and also cupcake shaped toys, and lip glosses and other trinkets that you can buy while waiting on your milkshake. I got an Oreo one — really creamy and properly tasted of Oreos. Call in here with friends or a good book — it’s a lovely place for a nice treat.

I’m a big fan of milkshakes and malts. When I’m in Dublin I always try to stop in at Eddie Rockets and pick up a 50s style shake or malt after the cinema to round off a nice evening that isn’t going to end in a hangover. So when I heard about a place to pick up a quality shake in Belfast I was quite interested. This place is great. The shakes are lovely with a huge selection that ensures that no matter who you are or what your tastes you will be able to find one that will tickle your fancy. A great addition is that you can bring in any chocolate bar and they will mix it up with ice cream and make it for you. The prices aren’t the cheapest with a large coming in at about £3. But if you think that it will cost you more than that for a pint in most places in Belfast its not too bad at all.
