Kebabs. Kebabs. Kebabs!!! If you love kebabs this is a great spot! Tikka Tikka(shockingly) is an Indian Take Away restaurant on the Ormeau Road and is the haunt of drunk students swaying home after a night on the town! It’s certainly a nice change from a curry chip from a Chinese. I adore Indian food and this place is certainly somewhere I’ll visit again. The menu is really quite extensive and I love getting a mix of bhajis, samosas and pakoras to go with my kebab… yes I am a pig but when it comes to Indian food. more is better… especially as there’s always some left for breakfast!

You know exactly what this place is going to be like as soon as you see the name and you see that it is a ‘curry and kebab house’. To paraphrase, it does exactly what it says on the sign. It is a haunt for late night revellers and students after a few pints who want to eat a nice, big kebab and chips on the way home. I have recently cut out the kebabs but in my day I woke up a number of times with a half eaten kebab by my bed and wondered what was happening to my life. In here the staff are friendly and will treat you like a regular if you are in often enough, like most kebab shops. The kebabs and curries are nice enough, just not world beating. For me, the perfect kebab is from Piccola in Bangor but this place certainly isn’t the worst I have every had.
