We arrived just taking a chance they’d have a 2 table at 9 clock in a busy Friday. Good choice! Server was great, brought some water n menus, explained it was BYO, nice surprise. We got some poppadoms, tossed for who got to walk to the wine shop, not a big struggle as there’s 3 on the doorstep, Vineyard always wins tho. Wine bought, onion bajiis to start, great crispy light tasty. Had monkfish main, loved it, loads of fish, cooked amazingly well, great sauce but fish shone through, mate always has chicken Jalfrezi, he loved it. Shared good portion of great Pilau and pretty good garlic naan. Unfortunately we had to leave before dessert or coffee, saw a couple of espressos being served n they looked great, hey next time. There will definitely be a next time. Great value. Great food and service. Thank you. Bill of £30. Try this place!

Brilliant little Indian for both sit in and take away. The food is delicious and fresh and as with all Indian restaurants The Naz has an extensive selection of vegetarian dishes. I adore the Saag Aloo and Vegetable Palok. They offer a real bargain on Monday to Thursday evenings of starter, main and side for £9.95 per person to sit in. Plus it’s BYOB — magic!

Looking for a little spice for a night out on the Ormeau before you hit the Errigle, this is the place to go. Previously called Café Naz, they’ve dropped the café bit as it really wasn’t a café. This is a full on Indian restaurant with a very relaxed vibe. The menu is extensive but far from expensive. I would say I usually go for the lamb jalfrezi(which is yum) but they have so many great deals on the go all the time we usually have so much food you can barely see the table, and I end up trying a little bit of everything. At lunchtime it is also pretty busy with business types, as the lunch deals are a steal! And to add to the joy, it is BYO– you bring the booze and they bring the flavour.

great food and great prices. not the fanciest décor but the quality of the food and bring your own alcohol are appealing.

We’ve ordered for takeaway from Café Naz a few times now and have largely loved it. The frst time we ordered I would have to have described the food as only ‘OK’, not bad but not on a par with some of our favourite places. However, a few weeks after our forst order we ordered through Naz again to save time as our favourite regular was busy and the delivery estimate was just too long, well this turned out to be lucky. The food(as it had been the first time) was delivered quickly by a friendly and curtious driver and was piping hot. This time everything had fallen in to place. Everything was a good step up on our first ‘OK’ experience and was a pleasure through and though. This prompted us to use Café Naz again since then on a number of occassions and have had the same experience each time. Hot, great tasting food delivered in a decent time. It’s gone to near the top of the list for Indian food in Belfast for us. Just to note you can order here thought the ‘Nifty Nosh’ website and pay online by card.

OOPS30 Jun 2012 Davyfab The sauce was nice.. Where was the meat? Had a lamb dish and a chicken dish but got lots of veg??? Service was great until we had almost finished then they were around us like flys swiping plates from under us Before being asked to leave We booked yesterday’ our friends walked in There still there!!! Is 1 hr 10 mins too long for 3 courses? The ”manager” was the only person who could take orders which was quote bizare? Then when i complained about being asked to leave he laught like a simple person??? Wouldn’t go back.. . Pity!

A café it ain’t. This is a fully fledged restaurant that strangely has a bit of a saloon like country and western feel, due to ‘Café Naz’ written in honky tonk font on the frosted glass just inside the door. However, that may give the wrong impression as everything else is one hundred percent authentically Indian. This evening we went for the amazing early bird deal which is a starter, main course and tea or coffee or £9.95(before 7pm and excluding fish dishes). A fantastic deal, even though some of the starters are quite small. Order the chicken chaat if you’re peckish, and the tasty but small chicken pakora if you want to save yourself for mains. I recommend coming here for this great deal at least once, but come back again to try the fish dishes which aren’t included. They have a huge range — more than any other Indian I’ve ever been in — that goes beyond the standard prawns and salmon, and explores trout, monkfish and some other unfamiliar Bangladeshi river fish, all for around a tenner for the main meal. What’s more, the naan bread is clearly cooked fresh and is lighter than air — worth a visit for this alone.

Indian food is my absolute favourite and this place was a surprise. I didn’t even know it was an Indian restaurant until a friend suggested we go here one evening and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are fantastic(as is common with great Indian restaurants) and the menu has all the different delicious meals on offer you’d expect. I went for my usual Chicken Jalfreze and saag aloo on the side with Onion Bhajis(coz you just have to don’t ya?) and all of the food was fantastic! I grabbed a menu on the way out and have had many a delivery from here and they always arrive top notch and piping hot! yum. yum. yum…

As other people have Unilocaled, I thought this would be your typical little Ormeau Road café with sandwiches and the like on offer for ladies who lunch and students who are just looking to spend their student loan on lunch tat is a bit more than just chips and fast food. Instead of this it is a crackin’ wee indian restaurant that has a really good take away and delivery service as well as polite, helpful and non-intrusive staff if you decide you want to sit in and enjoy the really well prepared and tasty indian food. I went for a vegetable biryiani and it was tasty and filling as well as a lovely pashuari nann. Its BYOB which helps you keep the costs down if you’re on a night out. Maybe a little bit out of the centre of town for some people but if you’re up this way you won’t be disappointed with any aspect of this wee restaurant.

Takeaway from here is fantastic. Tastes great, good sized portions and the price is very reasonable. Delivered on time too.
