This place has been a landmark on the Antrim Road as long as I remember. Giving directions? «it’s the second street on the left, just after Guys» «oh aye I know where you mean now» Ran out of Milk? Go to Guys. Ran out of Gas? Go to Guys. Have the sudden urge to play the lottery/buy a Christmas Tree/get water balloons/replace a tennis ball that’s gone AWOL into the neighbours. Go to Guys. OK the last few were many years ago. What I’m saying is, this place is just your one stop shop for convenience. Easy layout and friendly staff make it all the better. Their opening hours are 8 to 9 every day of the week including Sundays. They are also a parcel collection and returns point for collect plus. So handy for returning all those unwanted Christmas gifts!

This convenience store has been an institution on the Antrim Road since it’s been open — and that’s a long time, at least 20 years. It used to be a wee shop in someone’s living room, in what used to be the original house — and it’s been expanded and built upon over the years and has now become a very large shop that offers everything from fresh baked bread and croissants, frozen and fresh food, fruit, vegetables, pharmaceutical supplies, magazines and newspapers, and all sort of other grocery items. The staff are friendly and have all worked there quite some times so here is always a familiar face, and they also sell a great range of plants and flowers as well as Christmas Trees at that time of year. Parking can be awkward, but only when it’s really busy.
