I don’t judge stores solely based on the clientèle they attract but it’s fair to say that the vast majority of young ladies who shop in this budget jewellery shop are often of the orange faced variety. I am slightly tarring the entire Claire’s output but still, this place seems to cater for those who enjoy the neon and garish. There are a multitude of all things plastic — bangles, necklaces and costume type jewellery. As others have said before I’m certainly not he target market but I would say that the shop must be one of the most cramped in the city — space to swing a cat? Methink not.

As other reviewers have said I’m not exactly the target market for this place but I have been in plenty of times with my girlfriend and her friends as well as with my sisters. I don’t think its all that bad to be honest. There is literally nothing that I could buy in here but thats ok. My girlfriend says that the stuff you get here is ok quality for what you’re paying. Its not high end fashion but you aren’t paying big prices so you can’t really complain. The shop is little cramped and can be a little bit claustraphobic if there is too many people in here but its not like you’ll be in for hours. The staff are dead on enough and didn’t get in our faces too much so you can’t ask for much more than that to be honest. Not really for me, but pretty inoffensive stuff if you need to pick up stuff for a night out or a party.

So I’m not the target market. But I have had to get flourescent stuff for my sister and I made the mistake of calling into a shop I usually avoid, thus rendering me elligable for an opinion. So here it goes… Aaah! I hate this shop. It is the biggest waste of space I’ve ever come across. The shop looks like they have fed a large baby lots of skittles and then forced it to run around the shop until it throws up on every single part that hasn’t got something reflective or plastic implailed to it. It is cramped, sells crap that nobody in their right mind needs or wants and the staff are so bored you wonder how they attract anyone to the shop in the first place. What makes it worse is that in the one at Enniskillen(not sure if Belfast do the same but I seriously hope not) I noticed a child getting her ear pierced in the window. Now I don’t know much about ear-piercing but I’m guessing it is not very hygienic nor would a person feel comfortable about getting a piercing in front of the general public. It was like a terrible circus trick in which the child cried and there was goo and blood and tears and that was just from me. Please take my advice and avoid this place like the plague. It’s diabolic. That’s the last time I walk in here and it is also the end of my rant.
