a good pub which is a managed house. have eaten al a carte and carvery. not tbad at all reasonable portions and friendly staff. bit worried to see gumball machines blocking fire exits in the large dining lounge, hope an inspector doesnt see it or they are in trouble. nice atmosphere and reccomended as nice pub to visit

The meal I had last sunday was OK. I thought it was expensive for the very little food on the plate.

An excellent pub with excellent staff. We always receive outstanding service from the new inn team. with an array of foods from carvery to fish and chips to mediterranean lasagne you will be spoilt for choice! take the kids along for a kick about in the beer garden(if its ever warm enough) or sit by the log fire in the winter! either way its an excellent place to go!

The New Inn is an early twentieth century coach house style pub on the A368. It has a large bar area complete with roaring log fire — very welcoming on cold winter’s night. They have an extensive restaurant serving meals all day either from the specials board, carvery or lunch /evening menu. There’s a great choice in food — veggies are well catered for and the fish dishes are very popular. I’ve been here on several occasions and the restaurant is usually busy and always very ably managed by Sonja the landlady. The prices are about average; £4 for a starter and £7.25 for lasagne with salad and garlic ciabatta but there are also sometime lunchtime special deals. All the staff here are very friendly, polite and accommodating and the atmosphere is homely and hospitable. There’s some entertainment in the evenings and all you can eat buffets on Thursdays are only £9.95 per person and run alternately with Indian and Mexican food.
