Came in here to catch the second half of Alex Fergusons last home game for ManU. After I bellied up to the bar Rob came over and asked me what I wanted to drink. They have some of the Abbey Ales so I tried the Bellringer which was good. I also tried the Midford Cider after the gentleman next to me told me it would end my day at 6.5%(I squeezed in 6 more hours of drinking afterwards) The place is large and has plenty of seating, including couches. There is free pool everyday until 5PM and beers were cheap at about £3. Rob even told me about a few other places I needed to check out before I left town.

I like this bar, drinks are cheap and it’s not too busy. Good place to watch the football on a Saturday lunch-time. Bar snacks are tasty and good value.

The Assembly Inn is an interesting little pub/live music venue, hidden away from the main commercial area of the city centre. I’ve come here before to see a friend’s band play and the atmosphere was great. It’s quite a cosy little place, which I really like, and the drinks are reasonably priced. On Mondays between 7 and 10pm they do pints of Bellringer and Hells Bells for just £2 and on Tuesdays there’s free pool from 7pm onwards, although the popularity can mean that it’s difficult to get a go on the table. It’s somewhere that’s worth visiting at least once, in my opinion.

Must be one of the cheapest places in Bath for a pint. Tucked out of the way up the hill towards Lansdowne. Quality of beer and clientele not the best, but it’s not bad. Think they have poker tournaments in the neat little cellar bar at times. There are better places in the locality.
