Had a nice supper here just after the new year(fish and chips were great, and mushy peas were brilliant). The pub is cozy with a great ambience, and the staff were very friendly and gracious. Just a really nice escape in the middle of town. Will definitely come back.

Gorgeous old pub with friendly staff and great ambiance. Just here for a pint of Fullers ESB so can’t comment on food but great venue.

This is a charming bistro with a nice big garden, however, be prepared for sticker shock in the town that caters to a huge tourist trade. Their pea/watercress soup was good, but the cheese platter had very small portions of local cheese, ¼ apple(old) and not properly sliced, 2 inch stalk of celery, cut into iffy biddy lengths to make it look more plentiful. The décor was nice, but the food was not up to snuff.

Great beer selection including Kronenbourg special 1848(?) in bottles, plus 2 lovely ciders and lots if wine. Excellent beer garden in back!

Pea and potato soup. Lemon meringue pie. Decent food in a relaxed atmosphere. Slightly overpriced.

I couldnt recommend the Crystal palace enough. I love this pub. It has a fantastic ouside seated area, nice and private. a great selection of beverages and the atmosphere is always so chilled out and welcoming. Its one of those pubs you could take anyone to and they would love it,

Crystal Palace, as others have said before me, is a warm and inviting pub just one block away from Bath Abbey. Unfortunately, the experience began to deteriorate after first impressions. We ordered a plate of fish and chips, a plate of bangers and mash, and Kronenbeg beers all around. The bangers and mash were delicious, and the beers were just fine, but my fish fillet was riddled with tiny bones, making it almost impossible to eat. The mushy peas, however, were delicious. When approached with the fish bone issue, or waitron could care less and dismissed our claims. It’s unfortunate, since not everyone at the table was a tourist. One person at the table was a local who works three blocks away and I don’t think he’ll be returning again.

This is a sweet pub that I’ve been to countless times, both when I was living close by as a student and now when I work at Future. Its small and cosy, but still manages to cram in a fair amount of people at lunchtimes and in the evening. Drinks are always top notch(no flat ones here) and I’d also recommend the food, which is reasonably price and served in hearty portions. The best thing is sitting outside on the picnic-style benches in the summer, where you’ll find both shady spots under the awnings they put up and other areas of pure sunshine, depending on your preference.

Tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of the high street, Crystal Palace is a warm, cosy and relaxing place to have a drink away from the crowds. Whenever I’ve been in it’s been relatively quiet, which is a blessing for a weary shopper, but means that it lacks a lively, buzzing atmosphere. There’s only a limited range of drinks of offer here, so if you’re looking for something a little bit fancier, you’re best popping along to All Bar One around the corner. But if what you’re looking for is friendly service, a pint and some mouth watering chips(oh, such good chips) then you’ll be sure to find it at Crystal Palace.

One of my favourite pubs in Bath, the Crystal Palace is situated in the heart of the most touristy, old, cobbled part of Bath, with a picturesque old tree right outside it. This was one of the first pubs to go smoke free, well before it became law. Indoors, it is very cosy, with wooden tables and several sofas. The Palace has a large beer garden outside, with plenty of character. It is a lovely place for a glass of wine(or whatever) on a summer evening. Some outdoor tables are under cover. This is also a great place to eat, with a good range of above average pub grub at very reasonable prices — the jacket potatoes are particularly good!

Crystal Palace is one of the few pubs in Bath with a garden which is a huge bonus! It’s a cosy pub with two inside seating areas, a conservatory area at the back and finally a patio garden area with several tables outside. They serve really good food at The Crystal Palace, reasonably priced and a varied menu from main meals to jacket potatoes and sandwiches. Good selection of drinks, beer on tap, reasonable prices the usual you’d expect to pay. In the heart of Bath just down from the Bath Abbey and leading off from the Abbey Green the location can’t be faulted.

This pub is situated right next to the abbey in the lovely city of bath. It is a rather small pub, very traditional in appearance. Has a nice outside seating area under heated umbrellas, which is very accomodating if you are a smoker. The drinks are reasonably priced, with a pint being approximately £2.50. I would highly recommend the food here. Although it is not cheap –a typical main meal is £8-£12, it is quality. The portions are plentiful and the menu(although not very extensive) offers traditional english pub food. The fish, chips and mushy peas is a firm favourite of mine and is very filling! This is a great pub to visit at christmas, offering tasty mulled wine and mulled cider. And the christmas market is right on its doorstep.
