I love this little pub! I went here today with some friends for the carvery– at almost £10 a little steep but it was worth it. Though really busy they didnt run out of anything and it all tasted very nice. There is seating outside next to the river, on a lovely sunny day watching the boats go by is very calming. Easy to get to from Bristol along the ring road with ample parking just outside the front. Staff were super super busy and looked stressed but the minimal service we required was perfect. Well worth a visit– though some negative reviews from others i’d def advise giving it a go. lovely locaiton-good delish food-great scenery.

Where to begin? What was supposed to be a wonderful family birthday meal out turned into The.Worst.Meal.Ever! We arrived, expecting prompt service and food in a timely manner. After 30 minutes of waiting at the table we went to find somebody, anybody, to take our orders. Not the best start. And then half the menu was unavailable. A red flag. 30 minutes later we went off to find where our food was to be told that some of the kitchen equipment had failed(ok, that happens). When the food finally arrived it was cold and mostly uncooked; the ham was old and unhealthy looking and some of the fruit had mold on it. When we asked to see the manager we were told there was no manager on site. So we asked to see the chef, who turned out to be wholly unapologetic. With most of the food left untouched we accepted a discount on the meal, finished our drinks and left. I have never had such a poor experience eating out. AVOID!

I went here with a large group of people a few months ago for lunch and everything was pretty much spot on. The food was excellent quality and reasonably priced, the service was perfect and the view of the River Avon really set the scene. Somebody recommended the«hot rock» slates to us(a hot slate they cook meat on). The steak I had was superb and can definitely recommend it if you’re thinking of going to the Inn. Word of warning though. Every Saturday they offer some form of «entertainment». Not sure what this is as I didn’t go on a Saturday night. But they do have a Cabaret Night the last Friday of each month that I’m aware of. And a Karaōke night the first Tuesday of each month apparently. Now, your enjoyment of such evenings will largely depend on what you’re looking for in a restaurant. I for one am not looking for some God awful singer belting out Robbie Williams songs whilst I’m eating my dinner so will avoid the first Tuesday of each month like the plague.
