Gin had a good pamper session, it is a little expensive but they did look after her well.

Situated on Snipe retail park next to Staples. My kids love to have a look at the rabbits and fish etc. I bought a hamster from there years ago and it lived forever. I have heard from others though that its repeutation of selling ill animals isn’t very good. The actual items on sale like flea sprays and collars are realy pricey compared to the supermarket. I have learnt over the years that they don’t work anyway and best to purchase frontline from the vet or online for a good deal.

The Pets at Home store in Ashton Under Lyne is a poor store with impersonal service and a bad reputation for providing ill pets. I am a rabbit breeder myself and would never buy a pet from a big store chain such as these, many people who come to me for a rabbit say the same and have had bad experiences with pet shops in the past. I have often been stood in this particular store listening to a member of staff giving out pet related information and having to bite my tongue at just how wrong the information is. The staff are usually unhelpful and the vets is very very expensive.
I would not recommend buying any animal from a chain such as these and any food or accessories are much better to be bought from small pet shop stores where the service is more personal and small family businesses are being supported.

This is your average chain pet shop — large and impersonal.
If you’ve got kids though it’s a good break from shopping to take them to see the rabbits, guinea pigs etc.
Prices are pretty high in here, but it’s worth having a look to see if they have any offers on — sometimes they have half price or buy one get one free offers. This is usually on larger items though — don’t expect to see offers on dog treats etc.
You can also take your dog in here with you, and they have weighing facilities to, so you can do a quick check up for free!
