I called in ASDA at Ashton while in the area, hoping to pick up a few things in their gluten free range, with ASDA not having any stores near me, I saw it to be the perfect opportunity to take a look around. This is quite a nice store, a good size with a good clothing section too, as well as a good range of gluten free products, from both ASDA’s own brand and Schar. This store also has a good sized café, and a good number of scan it yourself tills, as well as standard manned tills. The staff here seemed quite nice and also patient with me, after I ending up breaking 2 tills, and it was quite late in the evening, so I’m pleased they sorted the issue out in a nice manner, unlike how it would have happened at many other stores, although I was dissapointed my coupons would struggle to go through, when they would at other ASDA stores, or other supermarkets for that matter, on the same exact type of till, on the same exact products. To summarize, this is the nice ASDA store and much nicer than some of my local stores in Harpurhey and ASDA, although with some tilling problems and the store not being perfect with improvements always needed to be made in ranges of certain items such as gluten free, milk products and a few other items.

Ok for choice, but feels messy and disorganised, which is a shame really because the price is usually right! Always a huge range of clothes and homewares available with plenty of changing rooms and a separate till for these. There is a pharmacy in the store too. Plenty of BOGOF offers and special offers. Good price for your weekly shop.

A good store if you like cheap food, but it isn’t a pleasant shopping experience. It’s loud and abrasive and the fresh produce isn’t very enticing. It’s good for things like pasta, toilet rolls etc, but I would go elsewhere for fresh produce such a fruit and veg and meat. But, contrary to everything else, the samosas off the counter are really good. On the plus side they have some useful amenities on site including a pharmacy, photo shop and dry cleaners. The florists in this store is particularly good too. The staff aren’t that helpful as its really busy in here, expect to queue.

A central store just near the Ashton and Dukinfield boarder. Large car park with no charges. The clothes section is particulary good with a good ranges of things for all the family. Good prices really especially kids school uniforms. Look out for the good grocery offer and the ones on boxes of beer nearer Christmas
