Ok I have updated this review to reflect the newly renovated McDonalds outlet, as you would expect the premises now looks all pristine how long it will sty that way is anybody’s guess knowing some of the clientele that use it. On my last visit it was spotless and everything was exactly as it should be, mind you the place was overflowing with managers as THE head of McDonalds was visiting it from the USA. If the’ Crew Members’ could maintain that level of quality and professionalism it would be a very good MD’s. Balloch has a wealth of quality eateries such as the Kilted Skirlie, The Tullie or Cucina for a quality meal if you want something else other than fast food.

My husband and I never really bother too much with fast food, however when our kids and grandkids were visiting recently, they took us to McDonalds in Balloch for a quick lunch. What a pleasant surprise! I had expected a dirty, greasy place but was very pleased to see that it was exceptionally clean and there was one member of staff who seemed to be engaged in full-time cleaning duties of the restaurant. Our food was basic but very tasty, and there was some nutritional info on a leaflet given to us with the tray which again surprised me as it was nowhere as bad as I had expected — my entire meal had approx 600 calories. They also have a drive-in service which is very popular — we watched dozens of cars passing through while we ate. Although I never thought I’d say it, I would highly recommend stopping off here for a very cheap and cheerful lunch — it’s a lot better than I expected!
