Great fish & chips. Great selection of fish from cod to John Dory. Fantastic chunky chips all fried to perfection. Just eaten post walk to the Edge and our fishy feast went down well.

Best fish and chips around. Great mushy peas, pies and sausages also worth a look!

Been to The Alderley Edge Fosters a few times recently, and I have to say each time weve had to come home and wash our clothes as we stink. They have a fan in the restaurant but choose not to use it, we have asked. Cant eat there any more a real shame as the fish n chips are good. We even tried take away but had to wait and clothes stank again. Really must do something about it.

Absolutely lovely! Crsipy batter, fluffy chips — massive portions! Every time I got to Fosters it’s consistently good, the staff are great, can’t fault it.

Soggy chips and greasy fish, suggesting oil that was nowhere near hot enough. Not worth a second chance(Didsbury branch). What a shame the wine warehouse has gone.

Seriously the worst Fish and chips I have ever had! Chips were soggy. Fish tasteless and undercooked batter. They wouldn’t do a battered sausage. The only good thing was the mushy peas. We wont be returning.

For me its not the best, but certainly a good standard of fish and chips and worth a visit.

Fresh fish and chunky chips, yum yum yum. Foster’s is a little swankier than your average chippy, but hey this is Alderley Edge! What else do you expect?! You even get a wedge of lemon with your fish, now there’s a posh chippy for ya! You can choose to sit in, they have a small eating area to the right, you can even take in your own alcohol, if that takes your fancy, me I’d rather a can of dandelion and burdock. Or do as we did, get take away and take it with a picnic rug to up to the Edge, no one about and really romantic looking out over the Cheshire countryside, quirky, fun and tasty!
