Service was friendly. I was prepared for a long wait but it was so pleasant by the ocean that I didn’t notice if it was long. The piña colada was awesome. The nachos were not good but I’ve had much worse. The kids did t like the hotdog. The chicken tenders weren’t bad. And the fries were quite good. Ambience was unbeatable!

We visited San Juan over Thanksgiving 2013, were staying in Hilton, so decided to dine here the first evening. There were probably only 3 servers in the whole restaurant. We sat for almost 30 minutes, but no one even acknowledged us or came to take our order. We inquired which server was supposed to be responsible for our side of the restaurant. She caught our eyes and gestures multiple times without any response. My husband finally went over to the bar and placed our order for appetizers and drinks… which also took more than ½ hour. so finally we just walked out… clearly no one was even concerned about the fact that a costumer just walked out with such an unpleasant experience. They definitely need to train their staff in professionalism… The female server was very rude to some of the other people seated there. I noticed people siting around us were also trying to catch her eye. horrible horrible experience… Try the Pina Colada clun instead which is located in Hilton itself!!! Also Oasis Bar is not the place where Piña colada was invented… I think it was made first in San Juan. hence several and trust me… several bars and restaurants claim to be the inventor of Pina Colada!!!

Fun place! Not sure I liked the loud-ass club music so much on the first night we were at this hotel, but the following evening was much better with light salsa playing in the background. Drinks were well prepared, although a little pricey at $ 15 for a Manhattan. I’m told that this was where the Piña Colada was invented, but that wasn’t much of a selling point, since I don’t like them, or walking in the rain. Great place to grab a beer and go sit out on their private pool area, which is well worth it! Friendly bartenders who are very knowledgeable about their craft are also a key part of the experience. Would definitely go back when in SJ again.

It was our first night landing in Puerto Rico and after checking into the Caribe Hilton, it was pretty late to go out, so we decided to grab a late bite at the hotel’s bar. Luckily they were still serving food and said we could sit at any table in their lounge area. Both my friend and I ordered the Oasis Burger because it was one of the few items on the menu that sounded appetizing. Everything else was very basic American food… sandwiches, some pasta dishes, burgers, etc. Nothing fancy. To go with the burger, I also got a Strawberry Daiquiri because our server mentioned how«good» daiquiris were in Puerto Rico besides Mojitos and Pina Coladas. The food came out quickly and the portion sizes were huge. Good thing we were hungry. Taste wise, it was okay, but it wasn’t bad either. Then again, this is a hotel bar we’re talking about, so expectations shouldn’t be high either. Service was decent and the server spoke English very well.

Home of the piña colada, where it was first created over fifty years ago. It is the best piña colada you’ll ever have.
