Can’t say enough about this place. Room was amazing with beautiful views of the fall foliage, gas fire was just what we needed, and the food at the restaurant was delicious… one of the best meals I have had. Cannot wait to come back!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet, relaxing night away and based on a recommendation from a friend we booked a night at the Lake Opechee Inn. We were able to make a reservation last minute which was great and even managed to get the last two available massage appointments! We arrived on Friday and checked in and the lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. There are some negative reviews on here about the customer service but we had absolutely no complaints. We stayed in the Montana Room which had 2 Queen beds, fireplace, jacuzzi tub for 2 and a private balcony with view of the lake. We absolutely loved our room and the beds were THEMOSTCOMFORTABLE beds we have ever slept in. The beds are so comfortable that they even sell the sheets and all the bedding through the hotel! The room itself was very spacious and the set up was nice. It was really great to be able to sit in the comfy chairs in front of our fireplace and have a few glasses of wine. We both got massages at the spa and had completely different experiences. My massage was lacking and I felt as though the massage therapist really didn’t know what she was doing. I have had a lot of massages and this was definitely the worst. It wasn’t terrible, it still felt nice but it really wasn’t worth the money. I asked her to focus on my neck and shoulder area and she basically avoided it… Strange. My husband on the other hand had a great massage and was very happy. Guess it depends on the massage therapist you get. We had dinner at the O Steakhouse and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the lobster mac and cheese with steak tips which was HUGE and surprisingly affordable. Highly recommend it. My husband had the prime rib with blue cheese and that was also very good. In addition to the good food they have an extensive cocktail list which is a plus. The restaurant was loud and extremely busy but our waitress was attentive and it was a nice dining experience. Also, very convenient to be able to just walk back to our room without having to go outside. Overall, we loved our stay at the Lake Opechee Inn and would recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing getaway :)

Just got back from a wonderful weekend getaway in celebration of our anniversary. The property was so nice and we LOVED our room! The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in at a hotel, not to mention our room had a fireplace, balcony, and jacuzzi tub for two. It felt very cozy and private. That being said, we had a few issues with the inn and our stay. First of all, the customer service was wishy washy. They messed up our initial reservation with a king and wound up switching us to a room with two queens, but didn’t comp us anything(it would’ve been nice to get a voucher for the restaurant or a bottle of wine or SOMETHING). Luckily we wound up loving our room anyway, and housekeeping was very friendly. Secondly, for the price we paid to stay here, we were expecting a real hot breakfast with protein but we woke up the next morning to an extremely disappointing carb fest. I’ve had more complete breakfasts at a Holiday Inn, not to mention everywhere else in this price range serves a full breakfast, and considering there’s a restaurant attached to the inn it wouldn’t be that hard to offer some eggs, meat, and potatoes. Even something as simple as sliced cheese and hardboiled eggs would be a nice addition to what they currently serve. We stayed two nights and didn’t even bother to get up for breakfast the second day because it quite frankly wasn’t worth it. This is probably the main reason why we likely won’t be returning. If they change their breakfast we’ll be happy to make a future reservation since the room was so nice. While I’m normally not a bathrobe kinda gal, I was looking forward to soaking in the jacuzzi and then sitting by the fire in a bathrobe instead of a soaking wet towel, but the inn doesn’t have those in the room which felt a bit odd considering there’s a spa downstairs. We attempted to eat at the attached restaurant but the place was a complete mess. The kitchen was super backed up and in the half hour we waited for a table we saw multiple parties approach the manager asking where their food was. Maybe this was just an off night for them, but it was very off-putting and we ultimately decided to eat elsewhere. We loved the 24⁄7 tea and coffee station and enjoyed petting the dogs. Hopefully the Inn will make a few small tweaks to the way things are being run because it has a ton of potential!

A visit to Laconia on a whim turned into 2 wonderful nights at the Opechee Inn. Finding such nice accommodations that were pet friendly was truly a treat. The spa was fully booked for both days so plan ahead if you intend to seek any sort of beautification treatment. The staff could not have been better. Sandy the attendant at the front desk and Courtney the waitress at the attached«O» steakhouse, both really made our time there more of a pleasure than we could have asked for. Despite a cold snap hindering some planned outdoor activity the Inn offered plenty of entertainment and recreation. A soaking pool, jacuzzi tub, billiard room, lounge with board games, and the attached bar/restaurant all kept us busy and never hoping for more. We look forward to staying again! Thanks!

Stayed here last week for one night and it could not have been better! Stayed in the friday room which had a really nice new england cabin vibe. We had a nice view of the lake, a cozy fireplace, and a jacuzzi in the room. We brought a bottle of wine and the front desk gave us wine glasses to use for the night. Very close to the mountains if you want to ski/snowboard. We tried the restaurant at the inn and it was amazing! The inn was quiet the night we stayed there and it felt like home to us. It was a very romantic getaway and I would love to return some day.

This was a beautiful place for a wedding. We went up there last month for a friend’s wedding and were impressed with the lakeview, hotel rooms and great customer service. The wedding venue was indoors and the staff there was super friendly and courteous. The bride grew up in the area and she fell in love with the inn and all its surroundings. The food at the wedding was fantastic and the wet bar was just what we needed that night. Definitely a cozy feel and the exposed wood, log beams in the rooms give guests that«cabin in the woods» feel. I would recommend this Inn to anyone who’s interested in getting married or hosting a large banquet event.

My now-fiancé and I stayed here for a couple nights over the summer as a mini vacation. It was the most perfect getaway. The room was absolutely gorgeous, we had a view of the lake and a jacuzzi in the room. They also had a small pool downstairs that was just right. I loved being greeted by the Golden retrievers, too cute. I can’t wait to go back for our wedding night. The price was right, we got a package deal that included an off-road adventure up north. The whole facility was spotless. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I could’t ask for a nicer place to stay. The location is great, right in the lakes region, and the mountains are not far away for day trips. There are tons of great restaurants a short drive away. I did not try the on-site restaurant, but it looked great.
