Amazing food, great coffee, and a fantastic crew. This hidden gem is a real asset to the area, and one that must be checked out. The food options are many and varied with the chalkboard menu or some cabinet options. The coffee is great, and the service is friendly and attentive. Seating is limited, but given its location it can be completely forgiven, but you’re best to go on a sunny day and enjoy the outside seats. A worthwhile stop on your weekday or weekend — just do it.

How did I not know about this place? I’ve noticed the Allpress coffee sign up on East Coast Rd, but that wasn’t enough to make me head on down. However, today I met friends who were very smug(after all, I’m the Unilocaler!). Great little café in a small strip of local shops. Communal tables inside with a few individual ones on the sidewalk. Good coffee, cabinet food and blackboard menu with plenty of choices. I ‘had’ to have the potato scone with caramelised onions and feta, freshly warmed in the sandwich press… Delicious! The salads looked good too, a new meeting place is found.

Although it was quite a drive from Titirangi it was worth it. A small true local suburban café where All Press coffee is served. The atmosphere was intermit and friendly with staff being very helpful. As there were a lack of views to enjoy the food had to be the attraction and we weren’t disappointed. Three of us chose the French toast with poached fruit which was delicious. The ‘man about the house ‘chose the special, eggs bennie with champagne ham. The cabinet food looked tempting and was being enjoyed by others. Apart from the white fashionable stools being a bit hard the experience was enjoyed.

Absolutely chuffed to stumble across this wee gem in the backstreets of Forrest Hill, a short 10minute drive from my house. I’ve only stopped in for coffee so far, but I’ve got to say it was the best coffee I’ve had in a long time — velvety smooth milk poured over perfectly extracted allpress espresso. Bliss. The barista clearly knows whatsup. The décor in here is also right up my alley — clean, white and modern with freshly cut flowers. It’s pretty cosy inside but there’s a coupley tables and chairs out the front as well. Definitely a spot for smaller catchups — 2,3 or maaaaybe 4 people max. The menu looks extensive — breakfast, brunch and lunch — and there’s plenty of delectable looking sweet treats available on the counter. If you need any convincing, scroll through their FB pics — food porn at it’s best(yesterday’s was freshly pulled pork and a big bowl of coleslaw). This is also the North Shore pick-up point for Jess’ Underground Kitchen, which is definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already! She makes fresh, flavoursome take-home meals which you can pick up Mon, Tues and Wed. Head to her website for more details.
