I have bought fish here a number of times and they always have a good selection of fish and seafood, and also often have good specials.
As well as fresh fish you can buy to cook at home they also sell the traditional fish and chips if you would rather they cook it for you, and its yum, fish and chips are always great on a lovely summers day at a nearby park.
Whats also so nice about this shop is that the staff there are so happy and friendly, doesn’t that always make shopping a bit more pleasant.

Highbury Fisheries is a small store in Highbury shops that sells filleted fish and seafood and also does takeaway fish and chips. Locals are always the best source of information and when we first moved to the area I heard good things about the Highbury Fisheries from our landlord who had been living in Birkenhead for over a decade. I’d also seen some pretty healthy patronage whilst driving past so decided to stop and give it a try one night. The fish and chips were quite good, I’m not a huge fan of greasy food but as far as filling the gap goes it did the job comfortably. The fish selection is reasonable and appears to always be fresh so its okay in my books.

My favorite stop to buy fresh fish, and oysters. Located in the neat village of Birkenhead shops, is this cute little fish shop that also sells fish and chips to go. Family run business they have just amazing service and always a friendly face to see.
The Fisheries have fresh Gurnard, Snapper, Tarakihi, Flounder, John Dory, all caught locally and filleted for your convenience. Fresh Salmon, Oysters, and Scallops lay on display at the street window display, not a need to drive miles away to visit the seafood markets really.
You will be impressed by the options, and not let down if your after fresh and tasty.
