The best shoe doctor in central Auckland! The staff at Dr. Shoe are brilliant. Unlike a lot of repairmen, these guys are really honest about whether they actually can repair your shoes — they won’t just say they can and then let the job be done badly. If a repair is possible, Dr. Shoe will ensure it is done to a high standard. Not only will your shoes be repaired well, but they will also be returned to you all buffed and lovely. Dr. Shoe takes the extra time to give your shoes a bit of a pamper and ensure they are properly waterproofed and ready to be worn. As someone with a lot of suede shoes, this is a huge bonus and definitely makes me trust Dr. Shoe and its staff. Dr. Shoe also cut keys and can dye shoes, as well as selling inners, suede brushes and sprays, shoelaces and all other shoe related products. Situated in Canterbury Arcade off Queen Street, Dr. Shoe is easy to find and definitely worth remembering!

Those old Doc Martins you bought when you were 17, oh how they were torture when you first wore them, but you persevered, and as the months went by they became perfectly contoured to your feet, you loved those boots. In fact they are still sitting in the back of your wardrobe, soles splitting from the leather, completely water vulnerable, completely useless… yet…you cannot bare to throw them away, as if the memories you made when you were wearing them would also end up in the trash can. Fix them you sentimental idiot! Dr Shoe is a reasonably priced shoe fixing wiz. Nice guy who does a good job. He also cuts keys. Why do shoe repair guys and locksmiths always go together? Seems strange.
