Owner is non service oriented– treats everyone like a tourist — a sure way to kill off a business in the off season — especially as we live 10 minutes away. Owner was too lazy even to cut a roll in half saying «that’s how it comes». Coffee was very good. Batista was service orientated. Hopefully she will wake up and realize her job is not to hate her clients but provide service. Funny thing is — her staff actually get it.

best coffee in the marina area. There are three cafes down there and this one is between the two. By far the best place for coffee and service is pretty good as well.

Nice local café at Half Moon Bay. The food is alright. Coffe is good. Service is friendly.
The problem with this place is that its a little hidden and the atmosphere isn’t the best as if its a little off.
Its located next to a incredibly busy café. The seating outside is cute and the location is really nice. You can enjoy a fresh croissant and then go do your grocery shopping next door.

This is a slightly off-beat little café, tucked away just off the waterfront in Half Moon Bay.
Although the coffee is on the mild side by Auckland standards (your nana will love it), I adore it for its quirky food — with counter food like «Mafia cake» and caramel mousse, and menu items like Bohemian filled crepes, spicy sausage, or chicken liver, you’d be hard pressed to get bored with the fare.
Best of all, this is a family-run business and they have really put a personal stamp on the place. I love that they play opera and know so many of their regulars by name.
I’m still slightly confused about where the «deli» aspect of it comes in — don’t expect to walk in and start ordering pottles of tapenade and char-grilled artichokes. Forget the stools at the window and head for the comfy black bench seats in the far-right corner.
