Dropped in on the way home and picked up a loaf of spelt grain bread on the recommendation of the friendly staff. Straightforward, delicious (sliced on the spot) bread.

This was a nice little café near where we were staying in Bergen. Most of the breads are pretty nice, so we picked up lots of stuff to walk around with and snack on. Worth checking out.

This is one of my favourite places to stop for breakfast or lunch on the go.
There is a bakery where you can buy bread, rolls etc. to take home, but the best part is having your own sandwich made. They do have some ready made, but skip those. There are several different healthy bread options to choose from (and a few not super healthy like focaccia), several meats and cheeses, dressings and lots of fresh veggies. These go for around 70−80kr depending on the bread. They also have delicious bottles juice and of course they make any type of coffee you would like.
They have seating on ground leven and on a 2nd level, but know that it gets super crowded around lunchtime. They also have outside seating in the summer.

fabulously delicious sandwiches. wonderful atmosphere. prices are definitely a bit high, but it’s well worth it, just for the flavour.
if you’re not sure what to put into your sandwich, ask the sandwich maker, they have nice suggestions.

Came here with a friend for a quick snack before going to the movies and we each got ourselves a baguette. It’s basically make your own: so you pick your bread, meat, cheese, spread and veggies; it was pretty delish and all ingredients legit. The baguette was on the higher price end because of its size compared to the other bread kinds and was around 110kr (i.e. ~$ 15).

Eine Biobäcker Kette mit etlichen Filialen. Freundliche junge Mädles hinter der Theke, es geht flott voran und sie verlieren auch nicht die Geduld, wenn der doofe Deutsche auf Englisch nachfragt. Jede Menge Sitzplätze und vor allem leckere Backwaren. In einer Theke sucht man sich die Zutaten für ein belegtes Brød zusammen und es wird frisch zubereitet. Kaffee und Co. haben sie auch im Griff. Nett für eine kleine Pause oder einen gesunden Happen zwischendrin. Kostenloses und unkompliziertes WLAN. Echt gut.
