La Tortuga Hotel Spa

Small personal hotel with great staff that are genuinely nice & helpful. Clean rooms, beautiful pool/​jacuzzi, clean beach towels everyday, free breakfast everyday, walking distance to everything in PDC! Small bar but it seams to be the hart and soul of that place. Plus the bar is a great meeting spot & bartender (Manuel) is a blast! I will definitely be back!

Great boutique hotel with clean and quiet rooms. The pool is beautiful at night and there is even a hotel. It is located near all the major attractions including many of the tasty local restaurants you read about. Breakfast is included in the attached restaurant and is actually pretty good. Only downside is that isn’t on the beach but you can get on the sand in less than 5 minutes.
Highly recommend this place.

I just experienced my first stay at La Tortuga for 8 nights and I must say it was a wonderful experience. All employees are genuinely kind, and helpful. The hotel is clean and the pool and bar area is beautiful. Whatever you need, whatever hour, La Tortuga employees are always there for you. I will be back.
Also, the air conditioning was perfection, and the mini bar was definitely affordable and put to good use for those midnight cravings.

Para celebrar mi aniversario, estaba buscando un lugar que me otorgara la experiencia perfecta para sorprender a mi pareja. Buscando por internet, llegué a Tortuga Hotel & Spa. Es un hotel boutique, muy íntimo, sólo para adultos, diseñado para el romance y la relajación. Es un lugar que mezcla la elegancia a través de sus detalles, privacidad y un servicio personalizado que hacen sentirte especial en el lugar. El hotel tiene solamente 51 habitaciones con un estilo chic — barefoot y te llevará a disfrutar el lujo de una forma mágica. Tiene servicio de Internet, lo digo para que sepan, pero estando ahí, sólo te quieres desconectar del mundo. Tortuga hotel, es un verdadero oasis dentro del centro de Playa del carmen. El valor de este hotel es algo elevado, pero si es una ocasión especial, vale mucha la pena, ya que ver feliz a tu pareja no tiene precio, y bueno, te puede ir muy bien esos días que estés ahí.

We’ve stayed here a couple of times when lucky enough to be in PDC and this has honestly become our go to place due to the quality and the affordability! The grounds here are amazing, the pool is lush, and winds through the tropical gardens, the bar has a comfortable seating area overlooking the pool and the on site restaurant, como como serves a delicious complimentary breakfast each morning and as a bonus is a popular local Mediterranean restaurant in the evenings. The resort is only a block from avenida 5 and the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. But best of all? The resort is adults only!
Our room overlooked the pool area, I could literally roll out of bed in the mornings and straight into the pool or a lounger! And best of all we had a roof top jacuzzi which was hidden via access through the bathroom and up a flight of stairs! Not the most private of areas (could do with a thatched roof top!) but it was a gorgeous getaway in the afternoons when the sun had started to lose its bite and the pool area was getting a little too busy.
Only negative, the resort is a block from coco bongo so if your room is on the wrong side of the hotel and your a light sleeper you may find the noise a little disturbing however we still managed with little disruption and somehow found ourselves on the ‘wrong side’ this trip. If you sleep with the air conditioner and fan on you’ll barely notice!
