Rendezvous Steak Garden Restaurant

Having heard about this place from a few friends, I was quite excited when my friend decided on this restaurant for dinner — she usually does all the work looking for good places to eat and chill. It was quite easy looking for the place (I was following Maps on my phone) — just be extra careful when approaching as not to miss the left turn into the place. Considering it was a Monday night, there was also ample parking space.
I liked the chill-​out ambiance at Rendezvous. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the menu and everything was quite affordably priced! I have always wanted to try chicken rissoto (RM13.80), so I ordered it — thought it tasted quite like cheese baked rice. I enjoyed it! My friend had a beef lasagna (RM13.80) that was also pretty good. The carrot milk (RM6.80) that I had was quite disappointing thought.
We went there on a Monday night so it wasn’t too crowded and nice to just hang out and talk. The service was also decent — may or may not be different on a busier day. We were so excited when we saw the swings (there were only a few around) were available and immediately sat on one of those. Only when eating, we realised that there was some awkward distance between chair (swings) and table — and we also sat too close to the speaker which was quite loud.
But it was all in good fun. Generally it was nice casual western dining experience — I look forward to going back there again!

Rendezvous Steak Garden gets 4 stars for ambiance. The dining area is outdoors under a lot of trees surrounded by pretty lights. Its quite scenic and gives you a very holiday feel. What I dont like however, is the crowd here. On weekends during dinner time, its so busy you have to wait forever for a table. Service is bad too cause they do not have enough staff and the dining area spreads out across a huge space.
Besides that, I don’t fancy the food either. i had the fish and chips, believe it ir not they do not have tartar sauce. No, its not that they ran out of tartar sauce, they don’t have it. period. Instead they give you the worst substitute of all time. MAYONNAISE! eww.
That was the first and last I ate here, its just not worth the wait for a table etc. I rather go to fish and co. or something. To be fair though, some friends have had the chicken chop etc and said that it was good, so maybe i just ordered the wrong thing.

rendezvous steak garden is definitely one of the my favorite place to dine in. Although it was a bit far from my place but I like to visit this place occasionally; especially after visiting Times Square, since it was on the way back home.
The restaurant is very spacious, almost full house every night. It fully deserved to be called a steak garden; not only they served excellent steak, they served it in an open space garden! Owner ventured a lot of resources into decorating this place; a big human size cage, swings, and even a fountain! Which is really awesome.
I love love love good deal; good quality food with reasonable price. I ordered the beef steak mix platter with grilled big prawn, served together with vegetables and fries. The mix platter were served on the hot plate to preserved the temperature because all steak tasted the best when served hot!
The service is not so good, with the amount of people they have to served with only a few of waiters. Even they have the wireless calling system on the desk, it takes them so long to entertain us. I wish the owner can add more human resources for better service.
Fun fact: Originally, Rendezvous comes from a French word «Rendez-​vous’ means ‘meeting place’.
Tips: this place might be hard to find at first because it is right beside a highway, make sure you don’t miss the junction to turn in!
