What a gem of a find! It’s a little secret stair passageway to get to this café but when you step in you’ll be amazed by how cosy and pretty it is. Choose between the outdoor seating area or the spacious indoor wooden tables and chairs. The boyfriend and I decided to sit indoors as it was too warm a day to be out in the heat! The guy who served us at the counter was full of initiative — when he realise the air conditioning wasn’t switched on he immediately came over to fix it! Great service. When we came there was only 1 other couple so it was a quiet one and we got to soak in the atmosphere. Check out the little decorations and the huge graffiti walls with so many different drawings by random people it was quite a sight! I’m pretty sure you can add your own drawing to the wall if you asked but we didn’t. There is a cake display section near the counter and we ordered the hot Matcha latte as well as a piece of lemon cheesecake. The latte was creamy although too sweet for my liking — I wish they didn’t add sugar but it was probably my fault for not mentioning that in the first place! The lemon cheesecake was really good though, a dense creamy cake with a biscuit base. So yum! This café is a great place to chill and wifi is free and fast too. Most likely will be back here again in the near future — am seriously considering this place as a new spot to work from!

Located upstairs in the street of SS15, it can be a little hard to spot especially since the signboard is really really small with cursive writing unlike the other café’s with large signage. To be exact, it is right above Watson’s so be sure to look out for it. Going upstairs, you’re greeted with a home like interior that I thought this must be someones house and I’m at the wrong place. Bookshelves, homelike furniture and décor really makes it seem like someones house. The art on the walls are also quite refreshing to look at. Coming here at night, their kitchen was actually already closed but they agreed to whip up a quick spaghetti bolognese so I was thankful for that. Their coffee here is pretty deccent as well, with a strong body of flavor and aroma. It is however a little quiet for my liking and the lightning doesnt quite make it a good place to chill somehow.

Located on the first floor in Subang’s busy SS15 district, Ode is really a lovely place to work quietly. They have created a space that is friendly for independent or freelancers, especially those in the creative business to work and have meetings. It is usually quiet and suitable for working and private meetings. There are many options for food and many are finger food like sandwiches and puffs. They have since expanded their menu to include main courses like pasta. I also like their cakes and pastries which are served to you piping hot. There are many art books and resources in the bookshelves lining the café walls.

I realized that many café are trying to decorate their interior as cozy as possible for the customers. To makes them feel like home is something important for both parties. One of them is Ode Art Café. Also located at SS15 among any other hip cafes, this place got many things to provide. The doodles on the wall and the minimalist type of decorations surely makes the the customers to think that this place is where their hearts are. The setting is so natural. Suitable with their ambiance. As for foods and drinks, there are affordable and reasonable at price. The light meals averagely below than RM5. It’s coffee are great but still can’t describe as the best. This is the best place for me to get away from any kinds of pressure at works.
