My mother in law is one of those very typical Chinese person. Though she enjoy eating, but she is very typical as in she’s always skeptical about other cuisines. Whenever you bring here to somewhere other than Chinese restaurant, she will say that she’s fine. But you can see from her expression that she’s not enjoying it. Especially western. However, to my surprise, recently she’s very into Japanese food. All these while she always have the perception that Japanese food is all about sushi and raw fish. Well, me and my other half both doesn’t take raw fish too and we still enjoy Japanese food very much. There’s so many variety to choose from that doesn’t involve raw stuff. After enlightening her with a variety of Japanese food that doesn’t involve raw fish, she started to enjoy them. Nowadays she even suggested that we go for Japanese. That’s a huge surprise at first. This particular Ichiban Boshi is one of her favorite Japanese restaurant. She like coming here for their bento set. Each time she’s here she will order their Saba Shioyaki set(which is my favorite too!) The other reason she likes coming here was that they have a loyalty card where you spend certain amount of money and you’ll get a stamp. Once collected a few, they will give you something for free. Such as edamame and so on. Not very clear about the card thingy. Overall, we all enjoy dining here and we are happy with their service too. The waiters here is very friendly and attentive.
