The Good Batch is quite a famous café in the Uptown area. Their food is pretty much like most cafes. All day breakfast can be found in their menu. They also have a dinner menu available after 6pm. Unlike most cafes they also serve alcoholic drinks like beer wine and mojito. The portion of their food is pretty big. I got really STUFFED from my Norwegian. Food is quite good and ingredients are fresh. Price wise, it is also standard café prices with breakfast items priced in the RM20−30 range.

The food here are way too expensive for the quality that they serve. Ordered the portobello road and it turned out to be something that can be whipped up in your own kitchen in 5 minutes. Don’t be fooled. It’s not the same portobello road you see in the reviews when they first opened in 2014. It’s completely different. In addition to that, this place is WAY too noisy for my liking. Maybe I’m unlucky to have visited at the time where there are groups of loud obnoxious people. However, it’s a nice looking café. Great for people who come in groups.

Tried Ice Caramel Latte, The Ang Moh, and The New Yorker. Above average portion size with reasonable price. Main course averagely priced at RM25 per dish. Great service and great food. The owner asked for our verbal feedback when we were done. Told her it was great! Kids friendly café/restaurant and great ambience. Hard to find a parking spot at the front of restaurant, even on a Sunday afternoon. But there was plenty of parking spots on the shop lot directly behind it, can just walked thru the alley. Had to wait for about 10 mins to be seated because it was packed! It was definitely worth the wait.

I usually come to this place for a night out with my friends over beer and nachos. It’s a really nice place to chill and have a long talk at night because they close rather late as compared to other cafes. The nachos here are pretty huge in portion, so make sure you get some friends to share them with you :) I love how they have a minimal variety of food and also desserts in the house. It makes things so much easier when it comes to choosing what to eat. Pricing for food was rather reasonable and the portion was just nice. Waiters were really friendly and helpful. The toilets are super clean and tidy. One thing not so convenient will be the parking spot. They were not really easy to find during peak hours and you have to go for a couple of rounds around that area to actually secure a decent parking spot. It may look a little dark at night because they are one of the few cafes that are open along that road. So be careful! Anyways, will totally recommend this place for a night out and it will be a great experience to you guys :)

The Good Batch is a hipster café that is student friendly, and a great playlist! They serve unique Western and Asian fusion cuisine with a special touch on each one of them. They also serve coffee, tea, and even cocktails and beers for boost, just encase you feel like loosening up a little after a long day at work. The waiters are nice and friendly, and would attend to every question asked. My personal favourite in The Good Batch is their French toast with mango slices, oats, and raisins. Pour some honey syrup on the it and add a little bit of vanilla ice-cream, and voila! Heaven on a fork is served. It was the best French toast I’ve had in a while.

There’s dime a dozen«hipster cafes» sprouting around town. But The Good Batch is far superior than just a trendy café. They pride themselves to be a Café Restaurant Bar. And from what we noticed from our visits are that, the food is preciously prepared with quality in mind accompanied with commendable service. They only been around for a year plus and seem to be going strong. We love their innovations with their menu and their effort to be original. For example, instead of your usual Eggs Benedict — they have Portobelle Road which is hash browns topped with breaded portobello mushrooms with poached eggs. While their, The Norwegian, is essentially poached eggs with smoked salmon, onion confit & capsicum. Pretty darn original! My other favourite is the Parisienne — their interpretation of french toast. While they are pork free, they do serve alcohol. So imagine that, brunch with your friends while sipping on your Margaritas, can’t get any better! They also have dinner meals which fare just as well. But i do think they could be a bit more generous with the portion. One little issue, is that I’m not too comfortable with the idea that they have indoor smoking even though it’s a separated area. They are also the same people behind Hyde @ 53M which is a speakeasy bar located discreetly above them. Since it’s a speakeasy, there won’t be any signages.

I heard plenty of great remarks about this place but my personal experience didn’t meet the expectations that I had when I went there. I nearly spent 30 minutes into finding a parking spot in this area. Knowing Uptown Damansara, it’s so tough to get a parking spot in this area. We had to park on the opposite side of the building & walked our way to the place. The food was, in my opinion; average. I ordered«The New Yorker» and it was RM23.90, which I think was quite pricey for the portion. The nachos served on my dish were soft instead of them being crispy. The dish component that stood out the most was the sauce on the hotdog. I felt that it gave the whole dish the flavor that it needed. Most of the foods being served there are quite pricey for it’s portions. During peak hours, The Good Batch can be pretty crowded because of fellow office workers,(they have a corporate office nearby) so be sure to come by earlier to have your brunch!

I’ve been patronizing The Good Batch quite often because I cannot stay away from good American foods! This restaurant is a place where you will be able to have a casual meal with your love ones where you’ll be able to chat all day long as long as you don’t get hooked too much on how presentable their foods can be! I dare say that their foods are not only presentable; the foods smell good and most of all, they taste damn delicious! So far, I’ve tried The Angmoh and The Parisienne. I would like to commend on both of these dishes(this is how good these dishes are). First, in The Angmoh you will be expect a typical American breakfast where you’ll have baked beans, fresh mushrooms and tomatoes, toasted bread, ham, fried potatoes, and a generous portion of scrambled eggs. As a whole, The Angmoh has a good package but I cannot lie about the ham where I find it quite dry. On top of that, the potatoes were a little bit too oily for my liking. As for The Parisienne, the first impression of it will not impress you as it looks not quite presentable as The Angmoh or other dishes for that matter, but I was so wrong once I tried it. I love French toast a lot; The Parisienne consists mainly on French toast, cream, ham and cheese. Simple and yummy! The setbacks that I would like to point out will be the parking, the crowd(especially during lunch hour and weekends) and the pricing. As usual, Damansara Uptown is known for their lack of parking space due to the fact that it’s a commercial area; so, you can try your luck in finding one or just park in one of the buildings. In addition, the crowd can be crazy so please make sure that you’re not rushing for time(but if you do, ask the waiter to recommend you a dish that will take less time to prepare.) Price is a little bit above average, but if you don’t mind paying for a good meal, then why not?

A lot of people have been talking about The Good Batch at Damansara Utama, and it has gotten me curious about the café. My friend was also very interested to try out their signature cake — The King; so we ended up going there for some coffee. The café is located along the same row as Wondermama, and it’s a corner lot. At the side of the café, there were colourful graffiti on the wall and it’s definitely an «Instagram-able» spot. The inside of the café was quite dim, and a little bit too noisy for my liking. Also, the place seems to allow indoor smoking, which is something that I dislike a lot. We had their signature cake — The King. The cake was quite good, but personally, I felt it tasted just like your usual peanut butter cake. In conclusion, I don’t think I’ll be revisiting the place again or anytime soon mainly due to the noise and indoor smoking.

Brunch café by day, trendy bar by night! The Good Batch serves brunch food until 8.00pm. Their menu features various egg-laden dishes. I had the«Hang-over Mess». The two sunny-side up eggs were served with beef, potatoes & capsicums, covered with hollandaise sauce. Best part is, I was able to wash all of that down with nice frosty pint of beer. This establishment serves alcoholic drinks from as early as 10.00am, every alcoholics dream ;) The only downside is that parking is hard to come by during peak hours.

Only get to know about this place when I was working in Uptown. Knowing that I enjoy having western food, my lovely colleagues bring me here to The Good Batch. This time, instead of going for the usual ‘big breakfast’, which they called ‘The Angmoh’, I had ‘Parisienne’ which is French toast stuff with turkey ham slices with homemade béchamel sauce mixed with gruyère and parmesan, topped with two sunny side-ups. My colleagues had ‘Norwegian’ which is made up of smoked salmon, capsicum and onion confit, topped with poached eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce and ‘Mexican’, roti canai breakfast burrito wrapped with chunky chicken, scrambled eggs, potatoes, salsa and guacamole with a side of Mexican beans and sour cream dip. I enjoyed my very satisfying lunch together with a cuppa of latte. The Good Batch is one of my favorite lunch time places in Uptown. However, it is a little too pricey for lunch, but once a while it is good to reward ourselves with good food! Besides lunch, The Good Batch is a place where you can have breakfast, dinner or even late night snacks together with a cuppa coffee or wine, whichever you prefer because besides scrumptious food, they serves coffee, alcohol and desserts too.

As silly as this sounds, for some arbitrary reason, or maybe through ancient Mayan voodoo incantations, the mere mention of the moniker«The Good Batch» immediately drew up a tantalizing image in my head prior to ever visiting this place. It just rang delicious in my head. The good batch is the kind of place you initially visit to see what the hype is about and continue to visit because it’s just so dang charming with its menu selection and décor given you have the finances to accommodate Rm16 ++ brunch meals on a consistent basis. The last time I was here, I had the Hangover Mess(Grilled potatoes topped with two sunny side ups and drizzled with hollandaise sauce). No regrets, might have hoped for a larger serving at RM20, but I’m just greedy.
