Tesco Extra

Conveniently connected to The Curve by just a very short walk outside the entrance of Borders, comes Tesco Extra to save me when I need to buy last minute groceries at night. Tesco has a ton of stores besides their grocery of course, such as optical shops, Old Chang Kee, pharmacies, The Chicken Rice Shop, phone shops, Sinma and many more. The prices seem to go lower and lower everytime I come in here too. There are always price cuts so look out for those even though they can be seen pretty much everywhere and you can also redeem points with their membership card. Parking isn’t really an issue because you can literally park in any one of the malls in this area and it would be connected to each other.
What’s a;so great about Tesco as well is that they have a looot of check-​out counters and there is a green tape on the floor. If you are behind that green tape, they will escort you to another line where it is shorter or open up more counters! One thing that is kind of an issue is that it doesn’t offer a very large variety of stuff unlike Cold Storage. They’re pretty basic items but don’t expect to get anything fancy here, not that I mind though cause that could also save you money. However, they seem to be one of the big grocery stores that offer online shopping that deliver straight to your house! This would be very convenient to a lot of elderly people who are afraid or incapable of leaving their house.

Yes you might think every Tesco is built and arranged the same way but this particular outlet located at Damansara is special just because they open till 1am in the morning.
How many times have you been in a situation where you needed to buy something urgent for the next day and to realize the horror that it’s already passed 10pm. This is the Tesco that will save you.
Going at odd hours is a good thing too to breakaway from the hustle of traffic jam and parking space. Always park at Tesco itself as they would give you 3 hours parking free of charge as long as you purchase anything above RM5 at Tesco outlet.
