There are only a few Indian food restaurants in PJ and KL with very good rassam(Indian spicy soup) and Krishna is one of them. The balance of sour and spiciness is excellent for Krishna’s rassam. Of course that’s not the only appeal of this reasonably priced restaurant — the mutton and chicken varuvel(dry curry) are also highlights as well as the shop’s signature claypot chicken and mutton curry.

While I was waiting my niece for her interview, I was ambled around aimlessly, without any destination ahead. I came across this restaurant, Restoran Khrisna Curry House and it’s located at Jalan SS9A/19, Petaling Jaya. However, they are located quite a unassuredly disclose factory that are not easy to be discovered. So I probably suggest using Waze to track down this restaurant. I was like yes, a restaurant and a mamak stall, Bonus. Cheap and good to go. I have never seen such cozy and snug mamak restaurant for the longest time. You would not feel the heat eventhough they are literally shinning at your face as they set up numerous ceiling fan around the restaurant. Besides, their food are pretty decent and cheap. It cost around RM7 for a yummy fried chicken, piquant sambal egg and fresh vegetables. I wouldn’t recommend beverage here as they are ‘Teh O’ are tasteless, it’s like water with colour. No kidding. Other than that, they are pretty standard but I do need to point all that, they have weird wooden sculpture and statue hanging around. You might feel a little disturbed by it.(Ignore it is a better option) One thing though, they don’t have flat floured bread — Roti canai or some sort at lunch period. Sorry Hope I rectified some of your questions and enjoy trying!!!

Originally located in Jalan 222, Krishna Curry House have been known for they’re satisfying banana leaf experience. Having recently relocated to a new location, due to outrages increases of the rental by the landlord. The new outlet(not too far from the old on) seems to be bigger, cleaner and much more organised. I’ve always made it a point to take a look at the curry corner of this type of restaurants. They have a wide selection of curries here, however some can be slightly diluted at times. Note that, self-service is prohibited here with strict standardisations. You are two choose your dishes or curries before you take seat. As soon as you sit, the waiters will place an actual banana leaf with white rice, three kinds of vegetables, Papadam and a glass of Rasam. It’s a bit too plain for my liking. The vegetables aren’t that great but I’m particularly a fan of their Claypot Mutton or Chicken. These dishes are a must for me when I come here for a meal. They haven’t gotten the best gravy in town, but it certainly is up to par. Krishna Curry House has been a long-standing brand for about 25 years now. People from all over Malaysia would come down to the city just to experience their Banana Leaf. Personally, i wouldn’t consider it the best in town, but it’s still worth the try.
