Kimarie is quite a big player in the industry as far as I am aware, with many outlets across Malaysia. They even have their own academy! However, I found their service to be so-​so only. Came here for a hair colour touch up a while ago and was assigned to a junior stylist who did an average job. Most of my roots were covered but not to a complete extent like other hair salons can effectively do — I did mention something but she gave me the excuse that the chemicals if too close to my scalp would damage it and the roots of my hair. What?
Anyways, other than that, the treatment here is okay. They offer you a choice of tea or water at the start which comes with a side of biscuits even. If you offer me food, I’m bound to like you so there’s my biasness. Haha. Anyway, check this salon out if you’re in the area. They do use good quality premium hair products to ensure your hair does not get damaged but I would suggest going for a senior stylist at the very least!

I went to this hair salon to try out their rebonding services, it was pretty good. It costed me about 250rm which is pretty cheap at the time. I had an junior hairstylist attend to me. Kimarie have been around for awhile now and there even have their own training program under the Kimarie Academy which I think it’s pretty cool that they have the ability to expand to an academy. The service here is pretty good, they would serve you any drink you want, from tea to water. All you have to do next is to sit back and relax while you’re being attended.
Kimarie have been getting buzz but also competition these days. There are many emerging hair salons like Number 76 and Miko.

Kimarie is a franchise salon all across PJ and KL and they even have a hairdressing school as well. Seeing them around I just reckon that they may be pretty good and gave them a try.
Like any other hair dressers you can opt for junior or senior hairdressers. The junior ones are aplenty as they are mostly students from the hairdressing school. I wasn’t very particular about hair saloons and they are just so-​so. No wow factor after I cut my hair. With the way the hair dressers talk to their client it seems that they have customers who comes back though, maybe if you can find a good hairdresser here you can stick to him or her.

If you’re looking for a cheap & good solution around the area, try visiting Kimarie. The quality here is still ok, good thing about this hair salon is that the price is usually the same throughout festive seasons, without worrying the sudden hike of prices during last minutes. You would have the option to choose between junior, senior & professional stylist with different price cap of your preferences. They also have a ticketing system now so that you don’t need to stay in the shop for hours waiting to reach your turn, which is perfect for people living nearby like me. I had been to this place for few years now since the time I started studying my degree. Oh & they also have sort of a member system which allows you to get discount with points when you are paying at the casher. I normally don’t have any idea how much discount I have cause they are storing them in their system according to our contact number, but then a discount is still better anyways.

Without a reservation, you can sometimes wait up to an hour to get your hair trimmed.
Back in the day I would definitely recommend paying them a visit, but now I’d beg to differ. When I was a regular, I always went back to the same hairstylist. After I came back from overseas, he had left the salon. When I asked some of the staff where he’d went they pretended they didn’t know who it was and acted stupid.
I decided to try out some of their other senior hairstylist, and I must say I was really disappointed with the quality of service and skill.
The stylist rushed to style my hair and made a lot of mistakes along the way. When I left the salon, I realised that some parts of my hair were unevenly shaved. Since that day, I’ve not set foot in the salon.
They do have good stylists but if you’ll be playing a game of chance if you do not have a regular stylist.
