— Café latte(RM11.30 or RM12.30 for large), bitter. 1⁄5 — But you know what’s great? It opens till 1am(I only know for Saturdays, not sure other days) — Feels like McDonalds but with more wood and slightly more fancy set up. It’s like Starbucks married McDonalds and decided to have square wooden furniture. — Air conditioning is cold. Bring a sweater if you’re thinking of sticking around. — As a place to do work, 9⁄10. The baristas are downstairs, workplace upstairs. — Christmas songs are on. I guess thanksgiving was 2 days ago. — If you like loud music, echo-y environments where you don’t really have to listen to the next guy talking or have earphones, here is the place you go. It’s not entirely bad, it’s just not your chill by the fireplace sort of place. — Not a good place for dates. — Internet is choppy

This Korean franchise has very nice minimalist music-themed décor and great coffee. While trendy coffee joints seem to be the in-thing these days, dal. komm’s coffee is good — I’m not a major coffee connoisseur but I know what I like and the latte here is smooth, not too bitter and not sour. They’ve also got a variety of non-coffee drinks including mojitos of al kinds and also bingsu, a shaved ice dessert much like ice kacang. Bingsu portions are huge.

If you looking for a spot to chill out and enjoy free wifi, this the place to be. Coffee is average and forgettable.

It’s hard not to miss this café when you’re strolling along the busy SS15, with its large black signboard and red and white fonts/logo. Stepping into the 2 storey coffee house, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, kept minimalistic with a touch of simplicity with large sofas and smaller round tables. They have a great range of coffee and desserts(including bingsu and cakes) on display, so fancily presented I found it hard to eat as it was too pretty! I tried their Signature medium-roasted Americano that had a spicy aftertaste to it — so good! I love how their beverages come in a branded dal. komm mug, most other cafes just present you with a simple white brandless mug. So dal. komm does take their brand seriously! Also, they sell a range of branded merchandises from tumblers to teas. Definitely pay a visit to dal. komm and you will be pleased by the gem!

Fancy a night out to chill with your friends? Here’s a great spot.(they close at 11pm) They have a wide range of coffee to choose from and also unique dessert to suit your taste! I tried on the chocolate lava bingsu and it was sooooo good! Ok it might be too big for a 2 pax portion, so you can actually call more of your friends to come help share these calories. Aside from that, the dessert tasted decent too. Best served with coffee! I would say that they are one hella shop that made all photographs look super awesome with their presentation of food. Just check out the pictures anywhere :)

I was never able to reject a good Apple Crumble in my life, so when I heard about this place serving some really nice Apple Crumble Bingsu, I made my way. Finding a parking spot in the ever so busy Damansara Uptown was a pain, not to mention the unforgiving hot weather. Entering the café, the cold air conditioning is nothing but a bliss. The staff were friendly and nice, the interior looks awesome, and the deserts were looking good. I like their concept of sound and café, the idea of enjoying the sound of coffee brewing and cups clamoring in a café. So, I didn’t waste anymore time and went straight for the bingsu I’ve so dreaded for. The only thing that got me down was the price for it, RM17 for a desert consisting of ice and biscuits. Nevertheless, I was still impressed by it. The presentation was awesome, topped with crumble, whip cream, and ice cream. I expected real apple fruit in it, but apple flavored syrup was used instead. It’s more like a artificial flavor apple crumble. Anyways, it tasted amazing, can’t stop picturing the Tropicana Twister Apple juice as it has a hint of that flavor. All in all, it was very balanced between the ice and the topping all the way to the bottom(some places just have plain ice at the bottom). There were some drinks that caught my attention as well from the menu, the Aloe Vera Latte and Sweet Potato Latte. I’ve not tried them yet, but I’ll definitely be back for it.

From the outside, dal komm looks like a big franchise chain. Going inside, it’s pretty cold inside the big two storey café. They have quite the selection in their menu ranging from bingsu to coffee and tea as well as toast. I had their choc lava bingsu which came with a lava cake on top as well as whip cream and ice cream. Unlike other bingsu’s that I’ve tried, this one is really good as the ice was chocolate flavored as well and it doesn’t feel like I’m eating plain ice. However the price is a little steep at Rm20.10 after tax. I guess the mud cake pushed the price up but it is definitely worth a try! Upstairs the walls and floor is concrete so there is quite the echo with not much noise absorption. They have a sort of study area with the tables fitted to accommodate for laptops and they also provide headphones.

Another coffee place! Using the Korean concept, you can find the infamous bingsu here, and also yuzu tea if you’re a healthier diet person. First thing i always try out at a new café would be their café latte. And yes, their coffee is not bad, so I’m returning. Opening till quite late here, and it’s good that they won’t make you feel not welcomed even though they are almost closing. As it’s quite newly renovated, the place is quite comfy. Lighting here is bright and they dont cramp their seats here, so no worries of very close to you neighbouring tables and you can’t gossip too loud? — oops, haha. Will come back again, fair price and comfortable. What’s more is its at the same row with a lot of good food places, so there is the convenience of coffee followed by dinner!

On a rainy Monday night, under the streetlights, people can be seen dashing through the downpour in hopes of getting under a shelter. The cracking sound of the thunder can be heard as it lights up the sky for a second before it vanishes and here I am in a café talking about it. I did not realize this café existed till my friend mentioned it to me a few hours ago. It is called Dal. komm Coffee and its located at Uptown Damansara. Although it’s my first time here, I do like the service carried out by the staffs.
However, the ambience is a little off for me. I find the lights a little too bright and the music volume is a little too loud. Ironically, I ordered an earl grey tea because I did not feel like drinking any coffee today. Well, the drink is good and its from 1837TWG Tea«Breakfast Earl Grey». More and more seats are being occupied through the night as the rain gets heavier and the lightning strikes more often.
I would definitely visit here again as I would give their coffee a try. As for their tea, yes, is a thumbs up from me!

Dal. komm Coffee is one of those cafes in Uptown where it is conspicuously located in one of the more hippie parts of Uptown, being the only black colored building around the area. For what it’s worth, the coffees are extremely affordable, as their affogatos and lattes are usually below a double digit price, and as I sip this Royal Darjeeling Tea by them, I can feel that the ambience is rivetingly good. You could play the guitar and listen to free music via their earphones with the iPads that they provide, a telltale sign of good service and good area. There is not much to say for this particular café, as I really enjoyed myself being here, nested with my phone and with the guitar beside me. Do try to visit this café when you have a chance; I really like this place and the things it offer to you. Come on guys; who doesn’t love coffee and freedom all slapped into one place?
