Environmental is nice, but parking is an issue. The guys are all nice & friendly. Pastry looks good, but I haven’t got the chance to taste. Generally I will come back for next visit.

Walking in I was like wooooow. This place is a quaint green undiscovered corner of PJ. Lots of greens, place feels welcoming and feels like an awesome place to hang out with friends. The pastries looked good too. Alas, when the pastries came, it was cold. The cappuccino I ordered tasted good, nice and strong, alas took 15 minutes to come although there weren’t very many people here. Though the place looked warm and welcoming, the people didn’t smile all that much. Caffeinated cabin feels like an exercise of contrast, lots of bright spots mixed in with lots of dark. I’d definitely come again though, awesome place to hangout as long as you expect to get cold pastries and if you can smile to yourself.

While driving out in search for place to eat, I checked Unilocal and found this place. I like it a lot when we’re walking in because of the greenery surrounding it. We wanted to sit outdoor but it was a little warm so we opted indoor instead. The interior is really nice, and it’s comfortable to chill with friends over a cup of coffee or read a book. I like how ‘raw’ the place is. I ordered the chicken and mushroom brioche and a cup of flat white for breakfast. It was pretty disappointing that they didn’t heat up the brioche and it was served stone cold. Would also be helpful if they put some signs for all the pastries so I don’t have to ask the server ‘what are these? What are those?’. Flat white was a little too foamy to my taste. The service could use a bit more smiles and greetings. It’s like they’re all having a bad day or something. Price is reasonable, no gst and no service charge. Perhaps I’ll come back here again for tea instead.

The Caffeinated Cabin is located along the busy road of Jalan Gasing but it is hard to locate because there is no clear signage that directs customers to the café. It is actually located next to Chezz Technique; a hair salon, so don’t be worried if you cannot find the café, just look out for the big Chezz Technique signage. I tried their ‘I am from Italy’ and it was very good — the charcoal bun with the chicken Bolognese and poached eggs combination. The wedges were cooked really well as well. They also have some pretty interesting coffee choices like orange espresso and lemon coke espresso — I didn’t dare to try them, but if you do, do let me know how it taste like! Although the café is situated right beside the road, it is rather hidden and it feels like a very nice place to just hang out and relax, or maybe get some work done as it is quite quiet and peaceful — surprisingly for a café located right next to a busy road. I will definitely return to try some of their other dishes.

Caffeinated Cabin is one of those places where people talk about it, but you just scratch your head and you just cannot find your way to this café at all, unless you use the magical ways of walking to reach there. For what it’s worth, the Cabin is a decent place for you to sit down and relax with a cup of coffee. I do like their cup of latte, although it is a bit too acidic for my liking, and is best ordered by those who wants to stay awake rather than those who just wants to well, relax. Their food menu is pretty large for a small café, but apparently, it tasted as good as cat food, so I steered away from ordering any. With the ambience alone, you may find yourself visiting this café and opening your eyes to experiences you have tried before. Otherwise, you may find yourself finding Narnia a bit faster than finding this café.

I heard so much about Caffeinated Cabin, and decided to try it out. The café is located along Jalan Gasing, and not too far from Jaya One. If UM is on your left, just go all the way straight and the café is next to La Salle School. Having said so, Joe and I still had a hard time looking for the place. Why? They do not have any signage! Our only landmark would be La Salle school. The café has large windows, which brightens up the place a lot. I had the Choco Cappuccino, and loved the balance of chocolate and coffee. Joe had the Iced Latte, which was strong and pretty good. Instead of ordering the cake, we had their Apple Crumble to go with our coffee. It was pretty disappointing. The apples had the right acidity in it, but the pastry was a little bit too thick and hard for my liking. It wasn’t crumbly, and I was having a hard time eating it. Despite the dessert disaster, I would still recommend the place. I have yet to try out their savoury dishes, but I would totally revisit the place again for this. As for the dessert, I’d probably order something else the next time.

This place became one of my favourite choices of café in town as the coffee and food that is served here is excellent! I first got to know of this café through a good friend and we visited right after a morning workout!(felt so guilty after that…). Firstly, this place gives me the feel of dining in a garden(while seated outside) which is great. Other than that, their staffs are very friendly and efficient as well. During my first visit here, I ordered a dish called«Finding Nemo», it was grilled fish wrapped with crêpe and served with fruits and wedges. It is definitely something new that I have tasted and it tastes great! Their lattes are generally smooth as well(not too rich and not burned). I would definitely visit this place more often as it’s kind of hard to find such a café that serves good food and coffee at the same time.

After hiking, my foodie friend and I love to reward ourselves with good food. We decided to explore Caffeinated Cabin’s that day. This café is well hidden inside a commercial bungalow at Jalan Gasing. It shares the same building with a hair salon. If you couldn’t find Caffeinated Cabin, look out for Chezz Hair Salon. Caffeinated Cabin is a little café that serves a variety of unique western food, pastries, cakes, tarts and of course, coffee. Even their names are unique too. During our visit, I who always goes for western breakfast(after asking them to recommend their famous dishes), ordered the Cabin’s Breakfast(their version of big breakfast). My friends who are more exploratory tried their recommended ‘I Am from Italy’, ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Scrambled Egg Salmon’. As usual, I took a bite(maybe a few bites) of my friend’s food as well. Theirs were so much yummier than my big breakfast especially ‘I Am from Italy’. Totally regretted for not ordering their recommended dishes. Lesson learnt, I shall be more adventurous next time! For drinks, I went for the conservative Café Latte while my friends had Long Black, Sparkling Raspberry and Orange Espresso. Their coffees were okay, nothing unusual except for the Orange Espresso. Orange and coffee just taste weird. Period. Though we were so stuffed with our food, their pastries are too appealing to resist. Hence we ordered a Cheese Sausage and a Sausage Cronet for sharing. We would have ordered more if there’s more space in our stomach, but our stomach just couldn’t handle any more food intake. I must say, their food was so delicious that I’ve already decided what to have on my next visit. I will definitely be back for more. I have yet to try their desserts!
