I go to Restoran Pik Wah at least once a month because their price is affordable and very reasonable. The staff are friendly and are well-trained. My favourite dish in Restoran Pik Wah is the Fried Rice, but once, there was a wedding going on and the main chef was busy preparing the food for them, so my fried rice didn’t turn out as good as it usually is. The sweet and sour pork is also something I look forward to together with the pink pao and the fruit platter with jelly.

My grandfather absolutely adores this place. We have been going there for years. The food is reasonably priced considering the quality of the food is quite good. Recently, the toilets had been renovated so now it looks pretty clean. The sweet and sour pork, fried rice and shark fin soup are all my favourites. I also like the jelly that they give on the house. The staff there are very helpful will recommend what to order if you are ever in doubt. Don’t worry about parking as the restaurant is located in a basement with loads of parking. So if you ever have a craving for Chinese food, go ahead to Restoran Pik Wah and enjoy your meal.

There’s a reason why my whole extended family pays homage to this place every fortnight — particularly by my grandfather. This restaurant has hosted four generations of my family from birthday parties to full moon dinners. Coming from a hierarchical family, my grandfather has the first say in where to eat. And we do trust his tastebuds — we say he possesses 皇帝舌 or known in English, The«Emperor’s Tongue». Apparently my family’s history with this restaurant goes past 35 years ago. KL city is still under development and I believe this restaurant was located somewhere else before moving to its current spot. I have to say that I’m impressed with its recent renovation — the toilet is way cleaner and the rooms have fresh new wallpapers. The overall place looks grander though don’t expect it to be comparable to the Chinese restaurants in a 5-star hotel. This place can holds up a couple of hundred guests. As mentioned, they do host events such as weddings and huge family gatherings. Ah Long Kor and Ah Weng Sok are both the operational managers of this restaurant. The father and son duo have catered my family for years so obviously, ordering was easy. They know what are our preferred dishes and their service is exceptionally quick. Popping by this place means I have to be ready to go through a minimum of 4 – 5 different Chinese dishes. Including the free fruit platter and sometimes dessert, it would be a 7 – 8 course meal. Talk about degustation! If you do get a waitress called Ah Fong serving you, please do send my warmest regards. She’s one of the loveliest waitress I’ve ever encountered — she also watched me grow from a little girl till now so extra brownie points there! I can go on and on about the memories I’ve had in this restaurant and my attachment to it. But to summarise it up, I can safely say that you can never find a better quality Chinese restaurant with very reasonable prices and exceptional service around the Klang Valley.
