There are many banana leaf places to try in Bangsar, with Raj’s being the newest. It’s pretty standard for banana leaf, and the dosa and roti canai are on point! The service can be a little slow at times, especially when they get busy during the lunch time rush. I haven’t had this happen to me, but have had several friends complain to me that they’ve been ripped off. They tried to charge a friend 39 rm for banana leaf lunch, most likely because he’s a foreigner! The prices are clearly displayed on the menu, definitely check your bill and your change.

Didnt expect much, Nirwana is always full so we decided to eat here. It’s ok. Just like most banana leaf restaurant, its has the basics. Nothing bad nothing special. If ur in the area and don’t want to wait for a seat at nirwana. Try this place

I do not have much to compare to. Most Malaysia good to me are good and this is no different. Service cam pretty quickly during lunch. Portion was quite good(even comparing to US portions). I was happy and full. :)

A fine banana leaf that stands proudly among the other banana leaf institutions in the area. It’s no Nirwana, but it shouldn’t have to be: Raj’s, the new kid on the block, benefits from its open spaces and corner lot to offer all the banana leaf staples in fine fashion. The banana leaf set is priced reasonably and provides for a pretty hearty meal — the veggie side dishes of beans, bittergourd and spinach is delicious. The seafood looks really good too!

We went for breakfast on a weekend and we saw plenty of employees everywhere but it took them awhile to even see us and take our order. We ordered 2 barley drinks, teh Tarik less sugar, a roti tisu and canai. 15 minutes later they came to tell us they were out of barley and they came with the teh Tarik with 0 sugar and The Canai. Another 15 minutes later, after finally getting the order put in, the roti tisu arrived. And when I went to pay, the bill had all sorts of things we never ordered. It took them ages to get anything done. Service was subpar, ridiculously inefficient, and unorganized. The food was good, but if you’re going to make me frustrated waiting half an hour for incorrect orders, I’d rather go elsewhere. Suffice it to say, I will never be returning to this place again.

After I arrived in KL a lot of people talked to me about the banana leaf and told me I have to try it. To be honest I had no idea what they are talking about. I really considered the fact that the dish may be made with banana leafs. I know, I know. So one day for lunch a colleague and I went to have banana leaf. My friend was very familiar with this so he ordered for us and to be honest I have no clue what everything was. I know that I ate out of a leaf and I had rice with a few different saucy looking things or some salads. I did like the juices we got and the little crispy bread looking thing we got. I am not sure if I would try it again but I can say I actually had tried it and I am still alive. It is actually quite popular and the place can get quite busy at times so be mindful of that.

I cant believe it took me 7 month to try out banana leaf! Please don’t judge, but I’ve heard you leave the best for the last. I’ve visited most of the restaurants in Bangsar and this is one of the last ones I havent tried yet! I was expecting it to be good, because quite a few of my friends have talked about it being super good ! :) I LOVEDIT! Indian food in general is one of my fav, but this place is just fantastic! I really recommend for anyone not to waist your time looking for a place to eat and go directly here! And the prices are really fair. ENJOY! :)

This is a chill restaurant. I didn’t get anything special. It’s just a nicely put Indian restaurant. I already tried Banana Leaf at Fierce and I quite frankly thought it was one of the best I’ve had. I think this place doesn’t offer a good one. The waiter didn’t speak much English. I didn’t feel that good being there. I actually felt uncomfortable. Could be because I was alone.
