This is definitely a little gem in Mont Kiara! Serving the area as the local Italian restaurant, Porto Romano has the atmosphere of an intimate place. With lighting that comes off as candlelit, walls adorned with vintage movie posters, and small tables scattered amongst both floors of the restaurant, it is a picturesque place for a date. That being said, families can certainly be found at any hour of the day there, as can people that come in only to pick up the food they ordered over the phone. The restaurant is like a dining experience chameleon in that, if you’re looking for a place for date night, family night, a first date, or even a time to eat a meal solo in peace, it can all be found here. Inside you’ll find an impressive bar as the focal point, however I’ve never actually seen anyone seated there. Their menu boasts the typical Italian fare as well as a peppering of other non-Italian food items, including a tapas menu. The restaurant knows their way around seafood! I found the barramundi to be cooked particularly well. They even boast imported oysters on their menu if you’re looking for a fix. They’ve got pizzas, pastas, risottos, etc. I haven’t been disappointed with any of the food I’ve ordered here. It’s definitely the place to go when you’re looking for some standard Italian(or excellent seafood) at a cozy place.

Simply outragously beautiful! this place has such an incredibly romantic feel to it! It reminded me of the famous Casablanca movie’s café, it’s called Rick’s café. The setting here was quite similar, but what’s unique about this place is that it’s like a Mediterranean food hub! I think it’s an amazing restaurant that combines all of the best cuisines in the world all put into one! this place just couldn’t be more amazing. Oh my God! did I mention that I haven’t eaten spaghetti in like 8 months? well, I haven’t! and that’s what I tried here! The Spaghetti Porto Romano, the best I’ve had in a while! Absolutely loved every bit of it! you definitely don’t want to order it if you are on a first date! especially if you can get messy with spaghetti as I do at time. trust me! just don’t do it on a date! with dates I always stick to small portions food, sushi for example or Middle Eastern are perfect for that: D
