They need to clean the carpets! We could overlook the dated furniture, bland brown wall coverings and even the rust and cracked cement around the rooftop pool, but nearly ever carpeted surface — room, restaurant and hallways — was filthy. Our room wasn’t vacuumed during our entire stay. This is an older property straddling the KL Golden Triangle. Location isn’t bad if you are going to walk around KL. Neighborhood seems safe. Breakfast buffet was good but not memorable. Staff was average, again, nothing exceptional(except check-in, which was outright unfriendly). This hotel needs a facelift! It is tourist grade, pure and simple. Everything is average, nothing more, nothing less.

The only reason we came here for a ‘staycation’ was because we had free vouchers. Pacific Regency was never a top choice when it comes to a holiday. The location is kind of off beat for starter. Check in was such a hassle because we were using the vouchers, they need a lot of verification such as. We only got to our room after 30 minutes. The room, located at the newly renovated wing, was very spacious and modern looking. The bathroom was instantly our favorite when we saw it comes with a huge bathtub! The hotel room was more like a serviced suite, it comes with cooking facilities and other amenities. Another feature of the hotel is nonethless the infamous Luna Bar. After dinner, we checked out the bar but was very disappointed. The staff was inefficient and the beers we ordered were watered down. Music was way too loud(or we are getting old) and the crowd was a mixmatched of bumbling tourists and locals. We headed back to our room for the rest for the night and ordered room service, which took almost 45 minutes to arrive. Overall, a less than pleasant experience for us. For the money(which we didn’t spend any) I reckon you’d have stayed in a better hotel.
