All time favourite dunno where to eat place when we have friends gathering. Fast service with super duper huge portion of food with a super cheap price where else can you find other than Murni. They have various branches at sri permaisuri, subang jaya, ss 2. We ordered their famous mee raja whereby it is actually fried yellow noodle with seafood sprinkled with onion for a lighter tastebud. If ure a huge eater try indo mee goreng chicken chop served with french fries and egg. Please share if you are a small eater. One of a very loyal customer as i would visit Murni quite often. My friend tried mee dragon which is fried mee goreng wrapped with roti canai. Interesting? Go and try you will never regret it :)

I remembered coming here a long time ago, way before I became a full-fledged plant eater. I was amused with the concept of Murni being a fusion of many types of foods. Ranging from Thai, Indian, Malay, Chinese and even Western. I once had their Pasta Arrabiata, which was not that bad to say the least, served along with a side of grilled salmon and a salad with fries. It was a set, okay? I would steer clear of their Western dishes, particularly fish. The salmon I had was dry and lacked that flavorful punch. My brother ordered their Seafood Tom Yum and he seemed to have enjoyed it. I tried it and I was in complete awe as it exuded that level of spice and heat, usually the vibe you’d get from very authentic Thai dishes. Their other specialties include their Milo Dinosaur, which is a chocolate beverage mounted with loads of Milo, their Dinosaur Pizza(tried it once and it was amazeballs! the pizza was shaped like a dinosaur which was kinda cute) and their ‘Mee Raja’ just to name a few. Prices here can be low as RM1 to as high as RM27 depending on what food or drink you order. Anyway, I was just intrigued by the concept of having a myriad of flavors coming from different traditions come together in this restaurant. Murni is definitely not one to miss.

This is the second Murni outlet that I have tried after the one in SS2, Petaling Jaya. I would say the taste of the food is similar to the one in SS2. So far, I have been here twice and I love the Naan Mozarella Beckham Special and the Tandoori Chicken. This restaurant is not as crowded as the one in SS2 and it is easier to find a parking here nearby the restaurant as compared to the one in SS2.

Murni is known for a couple of things, their waiters that have an amazing skill of remembering your orders(no pen and paper) regardless of how many, and their huge portions for an affordable price. I was excited when they announced a new branch opening at Bukit Jalil. That meant no parking problem like SS2 and rather close by from my place. I was proven from for the latter when it took me almost 30 minutes to get there considering how near Bukit Jalil is. It’s located quite a drive deep into Bukit Jalil. I was glad there wasn’t a long queue like SS2, so A+ for that. Unfortunately I was let down by the service and food quality. Firstly, they did not have quite a number of popular dishes off the menu which is not acceptable. Secondly the waiter was rude and impatient although there were about 2 other tables. Thirdly the restaurant lacked hygiene, tables were sticky and the worst part, our dishes came out burnt to which the manager argued saying that«This is how the dish is normally prepared». Utter nonsense. Certainly won’t be coming back as I rather brave through the parking issue in PJ to have my Murni fix.

Murni Bukit Jalil is just 5-minute drive from my home. It is a mamak that me and my dear will often go to if we are tempting for mamak food. It is a corner lot; thus, it is big. And they even have tables at the field beside. Compared to other branch, Murni Bukit Jalil is cleaner from my point of view. Initially, I thought this is because here is less crowded that other branch. But, I was wrong. I remembered we went there in one day afternoon, basically only two of us. The crew were friendly. We were there for 4 hours plus. Reason was we don’t have any plan for that day. We just wanted to relax ourselves. As said, we were the only customers there; thus, it was quiet. That’s why we stayed there. But what happened 4 hours later was surprising. People were coming non-stop. It was crowded within an hour. Some people need to wait for seat. In this case, I think Murni Bukit Jalil really did great in maintaining their restaurant cleanliness. Coming to the food, I ordered Maggi goreng; it tasted more salty than what I have at other branches. I preferred to have lighter one if possible. Overall, Murni Bukit Jalil is a wonderful place to stay if you want to have silent plus cheap food at the afternoon. By the way, it is always windy during afternoon, so don’t worry you will feel hot without air-conditioner there.

If you are in the mood for a large meal, Murni should always be your first choice. Murni serves up your usual Mamak food like roti and nasi goreng but with a twist. Their rotis carry exotic names like Roti Jepun and Roti beckham. They are filled with minced chicken meat, sausages, salad, eggs and even sweetened condensed milk. They are most well known for their western dishes like grilled chicken, chicken Maryland, chicken Cordon bleu, beef meatballs and even salmon that are served with a side of coleslaw and fries. Diners can also choose to pair main courses with spaghetti in various sauces like aglio olio, marinara, bolognaise or carbonara. They are constantly updating and upgrading their menu and even developed a whole new menu for the last World Cup, which includes such dishes as Nasi Goreng Ghana and other dishes inspired by nations that made it to the World Cup. Overall the price per person is very reasonable and less than RM20.

This is as good as the one in SS2. Murni Bukit Jalil has some clear advantages over Murni SS2. 1) The restaurant is larger and even the outdoor area is more spacious. Can easily accommodate groups of people. 2) It is nearby Bukit Jalil and clearly it is a nearer option for people from Cheras and South part of Kuala Lumpur. 3) Murni Bukit Jalil plays shows /TV programs on a wide LCD screen at night. For football lover, I reckon this is another perk for you? 4) I’ve tried whatever I tried in SS2 Murni like Mee Raja, Roti Hawaii, Nasi Goreng with Ayam Pandan, I’d think there is no big difference in taste between both. 5) Also, the environment is cleaner. For SS2 Murni, if you sit along the corridor, some may be disgusted by the fact that they are eating beside a drain. You won’t have this«trauma» for Murni Bukit Jalil.
