Masak-Masak

Ben’s Independent Grocer is not just a grocery, but they offer cooking classes too. Yes, they have both cooking and baking classes at the grocer and it’s called «Masak-​Masak». Masak-​masak is located right inside of the grocer, behind the alcohol section.
The space at Masak-​Masak is not very big so they are only able to have a small amount of people in every session. This is good because you’ll be able to have a closer view at the demonstration and the chef will be able to concentrate better on each student.
Masak-​Masak has a resident chef, Chef Christine, who specialized in Western cuisine and pastries. Occasionally, they’ll invite guest chefs to share their expertise with the students. You can either drop by Ben’s Independent Grocer to check out their schedule or go to their website to view the schedule. They have classes for adults as well as classes for children too.
The price for each classes is RM150. It’s relatively cheap as some places charge more than RM200 for one class. This is a good option to spend your day or weekend, have some fun in the kitchen and learn some new dishes.
