Their cakes are pretty well known around the area. They also supply cakes to a couple of cakes in town. The café has two floors and I would suggest sitting upstairs as there is more room. There are a couple of signature cakes which is always available. The banana chocolate chip bread is pretty good as well served at 6rm a slice. The cakes are priced about 12−15rm a slice depending on the type of cake. The service is pretty good in the café. They cater to quite a few type of crowds but the corporate people are definitely one of them as there are many offices around the area. It might be a little too costly to be catering these cakes to college students around the area but they are there to satisfy whoever who has a sweet tooth.

Back when I was studying in HELP, this place didnt even exist yet. When I started working back at that area, a wild Lids and Finch appear. All my time eating here was sponsored by either my boss, colleagues and HR people. I never once use my money as I believe this place is really overprice for the portion and quality they serve. Its good they have a wide range of menu and specials that changes everyday; however, the taste and quality of the food is not up to par. They do have good services also but the food cant keep the standards up for me. I would or maybe not return depends this time who is gonna pay for me: p

Lids & Finch mostly caters to the working crowd in Damansara Heights. But even if I don’t work in Damansara, I still like stopping by once in a while. The place is super twee cute, and you can tell the owner lived in Melbourne because there are memorabilia on the shelves and stuff. And it’s quite spacious if you include the upstairs area so you don’t have to worry too much about not getting a seat. The savoury food I pretty average but I like the cakes. The cakes are done quite well here. I remember liking a frosted pistachio one I had once, but sadly, I never saw it anymore on my subsequent visits. The orange cake too is well done; very fresh, moist and easy on the frosting. The downside is they open on weekdays so it’s not an option for Saturday brunch.
