Delicious

Time for an update — it’s been a while since the last visit, as there are way too many choices that you’re getting spoiled with while you’re at Mid Valley shopping mall. Delicious really isn’t exactly a special place to dine in at, but with all their buy 1-​free 1 promotion that they have lately, it is worth a visit I would say.
Their pasta dishes this time was quite good, contrary to the past impressions that I had towards them. I ordered their beef ribs, usually priced around RM50, but with the buy 1-​free 1 promotion it’s rather fairly priced. Portion isn’t exceptionally big, but it’s an acceptable portion.
However, the three star this time would owe to the fruit juice that I have ordered. If I’m not mistaken, they charge around RM13 for their juices, but the one that I ordered came with ice despite of they double confirming that it’s not with ice, and it tasted so watered down. With them mentioning in their menu that their juices are of no sugar added and good, I had a little expectation that it would at least be better than what I had.
Other than that, still a good place to dine in at, and also with a dinner crowd that’s not too much.

One of the highlights of my week was that I got to celebrate my cousin’s birthday here in Delicious. A heavenly sanctuary of hearty food and a safe haven for laughter and good company, this place delivers the healthiest of meals to the utmost sinfulest of desserts.
I was crazing yet another salad, hence, I got their pumpkin salad topped with avocado and an English Breakfast tea. The others went heavy on their steaks and pastas. I’d say that the food here is utterly delicious, as they’ve proven with their name. The waiters were kind and alert to serve. I also liked the environment here as it has almost a romantic kind of vibe.
Prices here, though they’re more upscale, it is definitely worth the treat as you’ll not be disappointed with such delectable food and heart treasuring moments spent here with your loved ones. I certainly was not in any state of disappointment.

Delicious is a terrible name for any restaurant, possibly because it is both misleading and it gives a customer a higher expectation in their food.
Of course, I’m correct again.
It is not to say that their food tastes bad. It doesn’t. In fact, one taste into the spaghetti carbonara and you will find that it actually tastes as creamy as it should be, and their food actually tastes decent. However, if you are to put effort into coming in here, pay half to twice the amount of money you will pay for any of the dishes there, and the portions and taste that they give back to you is just ‘decent’… Well, we got a problem right here.
However, we shall not subject ourselves to petty consumerism. After all, it is just our hard earned money we are using to pay for these plates of food, right? Right?

The earliest memory of delicious that I have is enjoying their Carbonara Pasta. It was delicious, creamy, bursting with flavor and delicious. That’s right boys and girls, I said delicious twice because it was simply that good. Other dishes that I might have was the pesto chicken and the simple egg Mayo sandwich which are both currently taken out of their menu since a couple of years ago. Its their form of saying «and no more happiness!!» to me before sharply jerking the rug from under my feet.
I digressed. I do still go to them for their Carbonara, it shall forever remain my favorite dish with them. The outlet in Mid Valley is considerably big and it consists of both an outdoor and indoor dining option. Although the outdoor is more fun because you get to people watch while you enjoy your meal but it does sometimes get hot especially during the daytime.
There’s something about dining along the outside walkway of Mid Valley (Chilli’s, Old Town, The Library) that there simply is no air circulation whatsoever. It does get kind of humid and a little uncomfortable, especially for small children and infants. I suggest to eat inside where its air conditioned if you have a baby or toddler in tow.
I do also urge that the Pesto Chicken make its much-​anticipated comeback on the menu if any of the Delicious managers or partners are reading this review. Please Sirs, bring me back my happiness.

If I’m not mistaken it is used to call Ms Read. I can tell the restaurant was so good and as time passes the service and food goes down. The service got slower and sometime the staffs are absent minded. I do not know how to explain the food, sometimes is like overcooked or undercooked, portion gets smaller or the meat inside the dish got less and so on!
The breakfast platter which used to be a breakfast for kings for my dad and I become a breakfast for commoners. No offence, but they took out the hashbrowns, the portion got smaller but the price stays the same. The other night I gave the pasta a try again, and it really felt like cheap food. The ingredients loke garlic etc were so little!
My standards and the perspective of the restaurant really went down the drain though, sorry!
