The food here smells great and tastes great but there is a great many things I do not like about this place. Firstly the service here is bad. The staff doesn’t understand anything you tell them. It also takes forever for them to respond. Secondly, as I write this review, there is a cockroach crawling around my feet. Yeah… Thirdly, the parking is super expensive… Oh well, first and maybe last time

The soup base is quite nice and the fried chicken wings are quite tasty. They do add quite a fair bit of ajinomoto so you tend to get thirsty a lot.

Steamboat is a very general type of food you could say. You can find them almost anywhere, but where’re the good ones? Coco proves to be one the good and famous one, who could say no to their Pork Bone Soup? Before we go on, you must know that parking and crowd here is intense. If you come during peak or dinner time, you’ll have to find alternative parking spots and wait in a long queue at the same time. The place is quite big though, so you can hope for the queue to move up faster with more tables emptying. I think most people will go for their signature, the Pork Bone Soup, which does live up to it’s name. The flavor of the soup really infuses the ingredients you have in the steamboat. However, before you go ahead and gulp down that delicious liquid, they charge an extra RM5 for every refill, at least that was my experience, pretty disappointed I was. The rest of the food is quite straightforward, you can order sets based on how many pax you have in the group and it all comes with a mixture. I particularly love the Pork Balls here, but then again, I love them in general too.

FUHHHHHBESTFORRAINYDAYS! Their soup is AMAZING. It’s pork bone soup and they tasted soooo awesome I can literally said it’s something to die for :) Everything else pales in comparison. I have no idea how many bowls I had when I come here for dinner. It’s sooooo goood! Well one thing that’s the major turn off is the waiting time to get a seat. If you want to dine in here, come here at a time when you’re not very hungry. I last waited for about 2 hours just to secure a seat. And mind you it’s not the dinner time yet. It’s 6pm. And stilll only at 8pm only I get a seat. Omaigosh. But it’s totally worth it I guess? :) Seriously if you haven’t tried, you have to come. At least once in a life time or something. It’s an ideal place for gathering and family dinners. Pricing was average and quite reasonable. Extra patrons during rainy days, so keep an eye of it and plan well :)

Coco steamboat is popular with their signature pork bone soup base. You will see one or two knuckle bone in the claypot for steamboat. The soup color that turn to milky after a few hours of boiling the pork bone is really tempted. We usually will order set meal with lesser head count(for example, order set for two pax, but three of us are having it), then add on some additional dishes to avoid overloading. I will suggest to order their pork balls or pork slices as additional top up. You can either choose to order herbal tea that come in a jug so you can share or you can also order fresh juice or beer. It’s more refreshing to have something cold because it’s quite humid here as it’s an open-air restaurant. The only downside here is their parking space. It’s very challenging for you to get a proper parking during peak hours. If you’re unlucky, you will have to park at the roadside near to the highway.

The soup base(Pork Broth) is super good. They actually put in a pork bone into the pot. Yums! The set is quite worthy if there’s quite a lot of people. My side — 6 people had a set for 3 and we added on more side dishes like vege(Yau mak), enoki mushroom, pork slices, lamb slices, pork balls. Drinks were lil not worth it cause the jug of leong sui was only like for 5 cups. So i recommend people to just have a drink or two on their own. After dividing the bill, per pax was only RM36 which was quite affordable since we added quite a few stuff and had quite a lot of drinks(like a jug of leong sui and additional 6 other drinks). Overall experience: 3⁄5(the waiters were not paying attention, maybe too many people and the restaurant is quite big) Price rating: 3⁄5(For students, it may be quite pricey)

Their signature pork bone soup is just so DELICIOUS I came back over and over again for this. Move away Hometown steamboat. You’re totally beaten by the up and coming Coco Steamboat! Apart from having delicious mouthwatering soup that becomes so full flavoured and tasty after you start your steamboat session, the dishes you can choose from is also aplenty and very fresh. If you’re a health junkie, go for the vegetables and lean meat. If you’re in to fried stuff, their crunchy dumplings skin is great too. Start you session of hot steaming steamboat and eat away! You will be rubbing your bellies and happily burping the whole meal. Great thing is, they serve kick ass herbal drinks which comes in jugs and also bottles of beers. Get about RM30-RM50 for a great steamboat dinner with your friends together with beer! The more the merrier because you’ll get to try more dishes!

Coco steamboat is a relatively new restaurant in the Old Klang Road area. I had doubts about Coco as there are already tons of steamboat restaurants in the industry. Nevertheless, I had to give it a try when they moved from a shop lot close to Mid Valley to a proper building adjacent to Pearl Point Hotel. It was a rainy chilly day when I had my steamboat craving. Irony? We ordered the pork bone broth as our soup base and a few side dishes. I enjoyed the pork broth as the soup base as it added an interesting flavor to the vegetables and meat cooked in it. The well infused broth wasn’t too salty even after most of the liquids evaporated. Sadly we were told that an additional RM5 is charged for every refill. The price inches a bit too expensive for a basic steamboat set and the minimum order of 6 dishes is very uncommon. This place is extremely crowded and is usually packed during dinner hours.

Coco steamboat has established itself as a place known for its pork bone soup that warrants a long queue every time I pay them a visit. The wait can take up to an hour so be prepared to wait. Parking is usually by the roadside as there isn’t a designated carpark area. What I like most about their steamboat besides the delicious pork bone soup is their signature chilli which is spicy enough. Add in some fried garlic and it’s perfect for dipping with your meat. Beer is also served here so you can come with a group of friends for a hearty meal. However, bear in mind that Coco requires a minimum order of six dishes so it is not advisable to come in a smaller group of two as you will definitely be over-ordering. They also charge RM5 for every soup refill which is usually uncommon in steamboat restaurants. Coco has recently moved to a new outlet further down the Old Klang Road before Pearl Point and much to my relief, the new place is now fitted with air conditioning so I don’t have to worry about being too hot.
