Chee Meng Chicken Rice is a well-known chicken rice shop at Old Klang Road. Over 20 years’ experience, the food and drinks in Chee Meng Chicken Rice is quality assured. In recent years, Chee Meng Chicken Rice has certified as a HALAL restaurant; thus, more and more Muslim customers are going to dine in there. To be honest, I find it so rarely that a Chinese restaurant in Klang Valley to have more Muslim customers(I’m not being racist, it is rarely to see this situation. If at Sabah, it is quite normal thing.) I normally ordered roasted chicken rice with a cup of asam boi. The chicken was tender, dipped with its sauce(a.k.a ketchup), it is delicious. The chicken rice was cooked with the essence of the chicken. It is always hot and soft. However, since the chickens were hang outside the stall, it is cold. If you want to eat it in hot condition, I guess the only way is putting it into the complimentary soup. However, a plate of chicken is getting more and more expensive for years. I remembered I paid RM5.50 for one two years ago. But now, it costs almost double the price I paid before. It was crazily increased. Overall, you should try Chee Meng Chicken Rice if you are around KL. However, don’t surprise that its price is higher than the chicken rice you can get it somewhere else.
