Sad. Taste really bad. For those who enjoy thai food will be disapointed when they visit this place. I ordered basil chicken, it was bad. I can only taste the basil. And they should have the beef version of it. Spare your tummy for something else. Really.

Was hunting for food after running errands after work, and my tummy told me that I want to have some Thai goodness. There are quite a number of Thai restaurants in Mid Valley Megamall and the Gardens mall and to see that this is by Absolute Thai actually gave me confidence so I thought, restaurants under Absolute Thai wouldn’t be too bad right? It’s located beside Cold Storage, and this restaurant used to be Ninja Joe — the burger store that sells pork burger. The environment is quite comfortable and not too crowded even though it was dinner time. Waiter was pretty friendly too and as the restaurant sells ‘street food’, you will have to tick your order on a piece of menu sheet given. However, I was quite disappointed to find out that the beef noodles which was available is now removed from the menu. I ordered their Tom Yam seafood, sad to say it was way too salty — I think the chef was not in a good mood today! I tried eating it still but in the end I gave up and asked for another bowl of Tom Yam. They came back with a not so salty, and edible one — hah! So, bad thing is the food quality is really just okay, but the service is good and the waiter handled my complaint patiently. Prices are quite fair here, but food portion aren’t too big. Overall the place is alright, but I think I might opt for other Thai restaurants when I’m here, as there are plenty!

The restaurant is located at the underground floor of The Gardens Mall. I’ve been here for dinner last Saturday because I love Thai food and I always go to the Absolute Thai restaurants around KL. Therefore I decided to try this outlet. i have to say that I was extremely disappointed of the place. The place doesn’t serve the food from the other restaurants. Even if it’s in the menu is written the same dish, when they will serve it, you will receive something else. For example I’m a fan of the Pineapple Rice with Chicken… in stead of receiving the traditional one, I had a dish with boiled rice with no taste with pieces of chicken with no taste. I was extremely disappointed. When I asked the staff, what is that, there answer was that we are the«Street food» not the classic restaurants. I gave them the dish and left. I will definitely not go there ago. The price and the service was ok but the food is very bad.

Absolute Thai street food is located at the lower ground floor of the gardens shopping mall. Unlike your full fledged thai restaurants, this places is more of a café with limited thai delicacies for you to choose from. It would definitely be the place for u to come when your in a hurry & in need of a quick food fix. The single dishes here include the pineapple fried rice, phad thai noodles & tom yum soup noodles amongst the rest. As I came here during the peak weekday lunch hour, the place was swamped with people, typically your work crowd. I manage to get a seat in the corner of the cramped place & had a tom yum seafood soup noodles. The taste was standard & nothing much to shout about. The most annoying party of it all was the service which was pretty slow & waiters who were to busy chatting among themselves. Quite disappointing I would say.

Absolute Thai is well known for their chain Thai Restaurant in almost every major shopping malls in Klang Valley. Little did I realized, now they even have a restaurant serving Thai street food! Oh gosh, what an exciting discovery! I’m not sure whether they have it in other malls, all I know is they have it here in between The Gardens and Mid Valley. They are located at the Lower Ground food area. I love going to Frame Thai whenever I’m craving for Thai street food. However, I am excited with my new discovery because I find it very convenient as I can now have Thai street food in the mall(sometimes you just prefer dining in an air conditioned environment especially after a tiring shopping spree). Another plus point is, this place serve halal Thai food where everyone gets to enjoy it! The staff here is very friendly too. We were greeted with smiles which really made my day. The only downside is, this place doesn’t have my favorite dessert, red rubies aka Tub Thim Grob.);

Absolute Thai Street Food is newly open at the lower ground, The Garden. Unlike usual Absolute Thai, their menu have less variety but focus more on famous street foods such as duck noodles, clear soup noodles, and other street foods where usually you can have at Bangkok. The interior design is unique, chopsticks in a metal container place on top of every small tables makes you feel of having street foods at the night time but yet it still looks cozy. I would say this is a place you will come to try but will definitely not a place you will eat frequently because of the price. Despite of the interior design, it’s still providing street foods anyhow but you will need to pay slightly higher with GST and service charges.
