Come to have your claypot rice early if you crave for it to avoid disappointment. If not mistaken, it will sold out by around 9pm. I will order claypot rice with additional vegetables and soup normally. This claypot rice cook by charcoal. When the rice is about 80% cook, they will add the marinated chicken, salted fish in until cook then serve to your table. While for the vegetables, not much choice. The only way to serve the vege is boil it and add oyster sauce on it. I love the soup as it taste boil for very long hours. The taste is yummy. Hardly we can get such a good soup nowadays as people getting busy with work and no time to boil the soup. You can come with your family but not advisable for group that plan to sit for long as it will affect others don’t have seat. #This restaurant is always full house.

Talking about claypot rice, I bet everyone who grows up in Taman Berkeley and neighboring housing area like Taman Eng Ann or Bandar Baru Klang have heard about or grew up eating claypot rice in Restaurant Number One Claypot Rice. This claypot rice shop has been around town since 1986. It used to operate inside another coffee shop named Restaurant 99 in Taman Berkeley, now they have a shop of their own. They are only open in the evening to cater for dinner service. Restaurant Number One Claypot Rice is closed on Tuesday. Besides claypot rice, they also serve double boiled soup. I usually order their watercress soup to go along with my claypot rice. If you happen to be in Klang and unsure of what to eat, you can always drop by to try this simply delicious claypot rice.

I have been a fairly loyal supporter of this place for many years. Every time when I ran out of ideas of what to have for dinner, this place would be one of those alternative choices other than going for those usual chinese restaurants. One thing that I like about this place is that, I can have a very simple yet fulfilling dinner at this restaurant. They only serve one type of dish, which is Claypot Chicken Rice, before they are located here at present. They used to operate in another restaurant(those hawker stall type restaurant). Due to the immense popularity and crowd, they decided to open up their own restaurant. My personal favourite about their Claypot Chicken Rice is that I love the aroma and taste of burned/overcooked rice that sticks to the claypot(Yums!). Other than that, to better serve their loyal customers, they even serve a variety of «double-boiled» herbal soups available on order. Therefore, this is also a great place to have a balanced healthy dinner as well!
