Persatuan Hokkien Kelang

Hearing Hokkien Association may give you an impression that they are some kind of association for Hokkien people. Yes they are, but they are actually more than that.
This Hokkien Association is the assistant registrar for Registration of Marriage (ROM). Many Klang Hokkien people have their ROM done here instead of going to Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) in Klang town. One of the reason being this place is much nicer than JPN.
Other than being the assistant registrar for ROM, many people have their wedding dinner held here in Hokkien Association hall too. Not only Hokkien people have their wedding done here. Even other races held their wedding in this hall because they are spacious enough and able to house lots of tables at once. Other than wedding dinners, lots of events are held here too. Including events like charity dinner and so on.
During festive season like Chinese New Year, this place is decorated with lots of lanterns. If you ain’t attracted by any of the above, there’s one more goodness here in Hokkien Association which might draw your attention. Which is the Bah Kut Teh! There’s one hidden Bah Kut Teh restaurant behind this Hokkien Association hall. Though they’re well hidden, many people know about their existence and they are actually quite famous too!
