Cheap booze and delicious Thai cuisine. How could i complain? I like coming here for a meal before my bar hopping sessions in Changkat. It is always goos to have something to eat first before your drinking sessions, but do go easy with thai food, you wouldnt want to be visiting the toilets often too. Their mixed seafood tomyam and green chicken curry is super yummy, you just have to give it a try. I promise you’ll be blown away. The only thing that bothers me is that, Baan 26 does get rather noisy(i know its a bar/restaurant and thats expected) but it gets like that as early as 9.00pm. And it can be annoying especially when you are eating.

Seated along the de facto row in Changkat Bukit Bintang, Baan 26 is one of the places where blink-and-you-will-missed. On the façade, there’s nothing Thai about this restaurant-bar, nonetheless humble. The offerings might not be the most authentic, there are some things which Baan 26 got it right. For starter, the Thai fish cakes are aromatic and sumptuous so are the panda fried chickens. The tom yum and green curries were, however, too mild to our liking. Still, it is one of the more casual restaurants along Changkat Bukit Bintang.

A friend and I wanted to go for tea(beer) and just wanted to catch up(people watch) after a long time of not seeing each other. I’ve always wanted to go to Baan 26 cause I seem to always pass it but never really went in. The place was very red and since it was at night, all my pictures became very red. After my eyes adjusted to the overwhelming redness, I realized the interior wasn’t half bad and because it was during the Chinese New Year season, there were red lanterns hanging from the ceilings(of course they were red!) The teas(beer) were reasonably priced and the ambience was young and cool. We took a seat inside so there weren’t a lot of people watching to do. After a few pints we decided to slow it down by actually ordering some tea. Something we would never do by the way, after a few pints we would usually already be dancing on the bar and struggling to take a decent selfie. But because we were channeling the Queen, we decided to end the night on a classy note. Yes, the tea was good and the bar top was safe, but no promises on our next visit.

Bukit Bukit could be the most versatile place in Malaysia. It provide everything from the enormous size of shopping mall to the grooviest night club in the area. But let’s not just forget one thing that important the most. It also provide one of the best eating spot. Lot’s of pubs and various types of restaurants. One of them is Baan 26 which means ‘House No 26′ in Thai. Based on the name alone we could know that the place serve Thai cuisines. This is my third time here. Just the place that suits me just before having fun at the night clubs nearby. This atmosphere here is fascinating and romantic. Should be the place for those who seeking for the dating spot. They also provide red and white wine that imported from New Zealand, Italy, USA and Chile. Possibly more. My best dishes here are the Thai Basil Leaf Minced Chicken with Thai Mango Salad. The pricing standard here is reasonable since its located just inside the heart of KL.
