Piggy Tail is located next to Nirvana Banana Leaf in Bangsar. As the name suggested, they serve all kind of pork dishes in Piggy Tail using Sakura pork — which some called it as organic pork. The décor at Piggy Tail is simple with al fresco dining area at the front of the restaurant, which would be a good spot to chill after work. To start off the night, I would recommend some Pork Corn. The pork tendon were peppered with secret spices and deep-fried till crispy, and served with special BBQ mayo. It was one of our favourite dishes, and very addictive. Perfect to pair with chilled beer! I like the Wild Mushroom Soup. It was creamy and earthy. They made the soup using 3 different types of mushroom and I like the tiny chunks of mushrooms in the soup. I love aglio olio and theirs were quite up to expectation. The Premium Pork Agio Olio was served with grilled sakura pork neck meat, sprinkled with red chili flakes, garlic, olive oil and sliced bacon. The sakura pork was very tender and the dish had a nice heat to it. Love creamy food? The Snowy Piggy Carbonara might be the dish for you — creamy bacon spaghetti topped with runny egg yolk to gave the carbonara that extra creaminess. The Piggy Pork Shoulder Steak was another favourite of the night. They use very limited premium pork shoulder meat and barbequed it with their house-special BBQ sauce. The meat was very juicy and tender. If you look closely enough, you’ll notice a slight pinkish colour middle of the meat but it’s normal — that’s how the name«Sakura Pork» came about. Compared to the BBQ Long Pork Ribs, I’d prefer the Spicy Short Pork Ribs. A rack of meaty yet tender and juicy premium BBQ short ribs marinated in house-special spicy sauce. If you love spicy food, try this! The spiciness might seem to be very mild at first bite, but give it some time to develop as you eat. If you have enough people to share the food or have good appetite, try the Signature Pork Knuckles. The knuckles had a perfect crunchy crackling skin yet juicy meat. This is a dish perfect to be shared among pork lover! How to end your night on a super high note? Get yourself a Truffles Ice Cream! Smooth vanilla ice cream infused with truffle, drizzled with crispy bacon bits and white truffle oil, and drowned in chocolate sauce. It’s a sweet and savoury, smooth and crispy — everything you’d want in a dish! If this is your first time trying truffles, it might taste like gasoline(some said so.).

What a cute name for a shop! And an equally cute and striking storefront logo. Walking along Jalan telawi at night, you will immediately notice the bright warm lights emanating from this restaurant, with it’s dark framed entrance doors and complementary wooden interior, giving it a very inviting feel. As you might’ve already guessed, Piggy tail specializes in pork. Try their sampling platter, a super scrumptious mix of lustrous pork in massive proportions, suitable for those with a humongous appetite! It includes everything from pork sausages, to knuckles to innards, all for close to 250RM. Worth it if you are going to share it with a group of friends. Their pork burger is also another wonderful delight — showcasing one of the thickest pork patties I’ve ever seen in my life and is supremely juicy and tender, topped off with onion rings and a great balance of greens. They also serve alcohol with an impressive list of cocktails although we decided to go for the beers on tap. With a well designed interior and an impressive pork menu, what more could one ask for? Head to Piggy Tail today in Bangsar to get your pork cravings satisfied! Definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand though as this place gets really popular especially at night!
