This is one of my favorite izayaka in the area. I’ve been at least half a dozen times and the seafood and veggies are always incredibly fresh and everything has been consistently delicious. They have a great selection of sake and other drinks as well(Premium Malts on tap). The bagna cauda that comes as the o-tōshi(to make up for the table charge) is always fresh and always yummy and always a bit different(seasonal veggies). The atmosphere is super cozy(in spite of being at the base of the Kanto area’s tallest building) with seating such that you could easily become friends with the folks next to you if the mood strikes. And the staff are very friendly, and happy to give suggestions as to what’s in season or particularly good that day. Be sure you do a loud«kanpai» with your drinks. If the staff hear, they might just shout out«kanpai» with you. They have a very limited English menu, but it won’t have whatever’s fresh/in season on it. Just ask«Kyo no o-susume wa?»(What do you recommend today?) or «Kyo nani ga oishii?»(What’s delicious today?) to get suggestions off the regular menu. Tip for finding it: It’s in «Dockyard Garden,» the old dry dock(almost directly under Landmark Tower). Bonus: If you look in the right spot(near the entrance to the ladies’ restroom in back, you can see depth markers in the century-old drydock walls down the corridor from the restaurant . On busy nights there’s often a short line so you might want to make a reservation. Bonus: 100% non-smoking.
