If you want to eat real traditional Japanese food Tempura, I recommend this restaurent. The taste est real tempura and you can also enjoy the real traditional Japanese restaurent. Normally, people who are from outside of Japan tell me the quantity is not enough and they are always hungry in Japan. But in this restaurent, I am sure you will be so full. The last one of tempura course, It was quit hard to finish to eat for me. It means the people who have bigger stomach than me will be satisfy. The crispy tempera taste was unforgettable. It was so delicious!

After spending hours walking around and shopping at Asakusa market we were dead tired and needed to rest a bit and eat. We found this place quite by accident and were attracted by the prices and the combo meals that were displayed in the pictures. We were not disappointed at all. The service was extremely courteous and accommodating. We both got the combo tempura and sushi meal for 3000 yen, which I thought was quite reasonable. The tempura was hot and light. The sushi was fresh and you got a nice variety of different fish. The portion was quite generous. Asakusa shopping is a big tourist attraction and that usually means that food is overpriced and not very good, but I think this restaurant was good quality and I would recommend it.

This was one of my favorite meals that I had eaten in Tokyo. Aoi Marushin is a touristy tempura spot in Asakusa. Our large group occupied most of the restaurant. Our tempura was served promptly. It was delicious, though I wish I had more! My tempura was egg free which made the batter a bit lighter than the traditional batter. The veggies were delicious and I enjoyed dipping them in the lemon-salt mixture. This was a nice restaurant to enjoy tempura. Thought it’s touristy, food was good and I wouldn’t mind returning.
