Top Tables is a small sweet snack/eatery just at the entrance of of the Skytree Mall from the Metro line. For those visiting the Tokyo SkyTree attraction, it is hard to miss. They don’t speak English, but the ever-present menu with pictures of food makes a polite exchange a breeze. There are both Japanese and western style kid-friendly cakes and treats on offer, with comfortable child-friendly seating inside and a small patio outside. The best feature is the soft serve«milk» [they mean yoghurt] ice cream in one of those sturdy tasteless cardboard waffle cones. Flavors are«milk» or «mango» and you can get a combination of the two. Cones are priced at 380 yen(yikes!) but round up mysteriously to 430 yen when rung up at the cash register(tax?). My son pronounced the soft-serve ice cream«delicious.» I had a taste, and the ingredient quality was top-notch. For a comfortable quick snack or light break that is child-pleasing and convenient, you can pay the premium for the ice cream or the cakes and Top Tables is a fine choice.
