Watanabe is a fish broth ramen shop near Takadanobaba station that is hidden off the main road and has no advertising on the outside. The fish broth has a strong fishy smell that may take some getting use to if it’s your first time. They don’t have other ramen broths so reconsider coming if you aren’t a big fan of fish. The ramen was good– not too salty, not too strong. Order the ramen with the egg! 800 yen for the regular ramen, 150 yen extra for the egg. They also have tsukemen and the option for oomori noodles for both tsukemen and ramen. Buy an oomori ticket on the machine. They won’t cook and put the extra noodles in until after you’re done with your first bowl. Let them know when you’re through.
