After relaxing at Shirokuma Café and shopping at BigBox, I was hungry. I passed by this place twice without paying close attention to it until I actually looked past all the vendors outside BigBox. It was Vie de France! I heard wonderful things about this bakery from a friend who had recently visited Japan and wandered in, trying to make informed decisions. There were many elderly people and a couple of students that were looking for a quick bite after class. I finally chose the Croque Madame Sandwich with Spinach and chicken– it didn’t look too appealing but once I was done, I wanted more. It was that good despite the questionable amount of time it was sitting out. The matcha mini pie was a little cookie, and they had apple and lemon. I don’t like too strong matcha flavors, but this was just perfect! It was great when warmed up and was like a chewy cookie inside and a crumbly outer crust. Can’t describe the wonderful texture– you must get it for yourself! The best part was the nice cashier at the front helped me warm up my goodies so that I may enjoy a relaxing bite people-watching and enjoying their AC. Yay! You pour your own water and when you are done, you return your tray at the tray counter. I thought I got good value for the money I paid and would love to visit again!
